I've had great luck with Missing Link as a basic supplement for my dogs food. But unlike herders, American bulldogs will eat the side of a battle ship with some chicken grease smeared on it. And not have trouble passing it.
I agree on stop catering the finicky behavior. Eat the crap i give you or go hungry. I have not tried blue buffalo, so i have no comment on this brand. I'm currently feeding TOTW buffalo and my dog thinks it's the greatest stuff ever. In fact i need ot cut her back a little cause she's having a false pregnancy and is gaining too much weight. Little pest.
Will he eat beef? Maybe some ground meat will bust his weight.

Fry:
I've tried several different things, including beef. He is just a finicky eater. I'm hoping it's a phase since he was doing well several months ago before it became so hot.

I don't know why you need any supplements at all.

My Mal Started as an extremely finicky eater. He has long legs and is 26" at least at the shoulder.
If he even ate he would sit down on all fours and really take his time. With kibble , after a loooong time.
I switched to Ground beef which we got in better than 50# batches in 10# frozen bags from the Greyhound
racing people cheap. He dug that especially when I mixed in yogurt but mostly Sour cream . Supposedly
for bacterial culture to help digestion , but I suspect it was pasteurized anyways so didn't matter.
But he really liked that the first year.
My supply of Carnie Ground beef became scarcer, I started substituting in more kibble and rice and sour cream.
Taste of the wild roasted bison/venison , rice and sour cream became his Fav after awhile.
Now after 3 years , this most finicky of Mals digs right into his TOW and pretty much finishes it every time. 75# is nominal.

Offdalip,
Thank you for the info. I have really tried a big range of various things for my Mal. I'm lucky if he eats 1 cup of kibble a day. I've tried several good kibbles and he just isn't interested. Tried making his own food, cooked, raw, etc. Some days he will eat something, some days he won't. Vet suggested mixing cottage cheese in his food which worked for awhile, than he wasn't interested. Also tried a little parmesan cheese on his kibble, good for a few days, then not interested. Some days he will eat up to 2 cups of kibble, other days he isn't into it. I'm totally at a loss. Vet says nothing is wrong, just a picky eater. He's 68 lbs as of last Friday, 25 1/2 inches at shoulder, and 12 months old. He doesn't look bad for his size and is typical Mal. skinny. Just wish he would eat a "real" meal every day instead of every few days. Thanks again for the comment.

Also, the vet suggested the supplement which I posted about. Amazingly enough, he sells that supplement for $36 for the small size.

I really wouldn't try any supplements, waste I think.

If worse comes to worst, here is a secret.

I love BLT sandwiches, put a little of the grease from the bacon over his kibble and mix it up.
He will go nuts. Then start mixing his kibble with sour cream in later feeds. He will not say
no to bacon grease. I have a pyrex bowl of leftover bacon grease in the fridge for him , but
he doesn't need it anymore

try taste of the wild , mine likes it with bacon and or sour cream.

1 cup in the morning and one in the afternoon. He is very finicky, but this works 100%

I am currently feeding him once a day in the evening. Any advice on the supplement along would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

First off start feeding him twice a day. Can you imagine how hungry you would be by dinner time if you didn't eat all day?!... Second try Midstates K9 Finest (they have changed the name to Nutrarich K9 Finest) it doesn't really have a taste (Yes, I've tried it.). As to all the other stuff sour cream, grease and what not I couldn't say.

Michael,
I offer him food in the morning and at noon. He doesn't touch it. At night is the only time he eats. I don't starve him all day long. I offer him the food at 8am when I have breakfast and again mid day. He just isn't interested what so ever. Lastnight around 5pm I got him to eat 2 cups of kibble. This is just the way he is. Thank you for the advice on the supplement. I will check it out.

PMWatch,
I read your first post but didn't dig further so forgive me if this has been covered but have you tried feeding raw and/or is it even an option?
