Diane

Bouchaka, I was watching the whole time.  If you want to know what happened send me a private message and I'll tell you.  I sure hope you get her to the vet at once, as she needed help a LONG TIME AGO.

Diane Seaman

Edited to add:  I'm assuming you fell asleep and don't know what happened.  If you were awake, you surely would have been in there to help her hours ago.

I kept getting the error message

Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you are trying to play, burn, or sync an item that is in your library, the item might point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted.

So I wasn't able to view the streaming video.

Seem like something bad happen.

I sure hope that one of you with software/computer skills was able to record this streaming video. I'm curious to know what had happen.

the mother started having problems she had a second still born and then became confused and ate the live puppy. she was in alot of distress and kept pacing, barking and scratching. i still feel she is in trouble and needs to get to a vet asap. hopefully they have done this and not wait cause they think she is resting.

maybe you do need windows after all.

where the hell was the breeder at the time? It seemed by the large sums of replies in here that people were desperately contacting the breeder to help the bitch out. Why wern't they protecting the live puppy?

whats really sad is they knew there was a problem from the begining

and still left that poor girl alone!

I will not get the sounds or pics out of my mind for a long time!

Bochaka, thanks so much for putting your high-tech live webcam up so everyone in the world can watch your female kill and eat her puppies, and also see that YOU WERE NOT THERE TO HELP HER OR ASSIST IN ANY WAY.  What a shame.  Next time keep your webcam monitor next to your bed so you can watch your own dog eat her puppies in private.   Hopefully there won't be a next time, dogs who kill their puppies should never be bred again.

Hi

Just back from the vet.Chaka is fine, these were the only pups in her. I must point out that I was with her for most of the time in an adjoining area where she could see me for most of the night., which is why i could not get the messages posted here for me.I do not like to directly intervene in the whelping process unless I feel the bitch is in an unusual level of distress for this type of event , I noted that anytime i went into her she became  even more hyped up and I felt that my continued direct presence ,presented a risk to the live pup, so I remained in the adjoining area, and I do accept that these event can appear far more dramatic that they actually are when viewed on a web camera with enhancement of audio etc caused by the whelping environment. The issue of the live pup been eaten , is something that I havnt experienced before and I would agree as is suggested in the post above that once this has occurred, serious consideration should be given to the females role as a brood.

I wish to thank everybody here who attempted to contact me.

I am so glad that I went to bed early last night.  It sounds like a little intervention would of been a good thing.  I hope there were no children up watching this.
