YR,
I was about as upset as you when I read the nasty comments. Kelly is such a great person it really hurts to see people on her case like that.

On a better note I am happy to hear Brix is doing so well! Merry Christmas Kel & the Pack...Love you guys! P.S. I emailed you, check your spam folder LOL

BUMP

steve1

by steve1 on 18 December 2009 - 17:12

I said that two things could be done for the Pup, amputation or put to sleep only whatever is best for the Pup nothing to do with human feelings they never really come into it
Afterwards i thought about my little Heidi. and to have saved her i would have gladly parted with one of my limbs to see her sound and happy again, but in her case it was not to be
There could have been an operation costing $4 to 5000 USA dollars, and done by the best Bone specialist Vet in Belgium, but he said he did not hold out much hope as she grew, at the time she was 16 weeks old, and she would suffer a lot of pain even then
But it was up to me to make the choice of what was to be done, I made the choice and it was for her to go to sleep, The Money i could get from the Bank but not to keep her alive and pay the price as she grew up just to have her with me
It was hard to do it but she went peacefully in my arms,
Anyway Kellys Pup was not in the same postition as Heidi so i said the wrong thing on here for her to do, I hope the Pup lives a pain free life after the operation Not all circumstances are the same, and I am glad see did not see it my way

Steve,
There is absolutely no doublt in my mind or in my heart that you did the right thing for little Heidi. I am still sorry for the pain you had to endure, I know that Izzy did not completely replace Heidi, but I also know that she is filling  big place in your heart

Steve you are such a sweetie, it really sucks about your little Heidi, she was a wonderful pup. The outcome was not as favorable for her and again it was a terrible decision for anyone to make. I did everything I knew how to save my Astra but also it was not meant to be. She understood, she made it thru three months and helped Jami learn enough to the point where she felt Jami could take care of me then she crashed.  I allow my ancestors to guide me and usually things turn out for the best, I might not see it at the time but in the long run it does.

Always,
Cee
