You can find MULTITUDES of examples of photo altering if you know a few things to look for:

Some examples that you can find in such places as the Foto Urma siegershow books, etc.  I've long entertained myself by looking at the pictures in the Foto Urma books to spot all the bad photo enhancements that were made.

Bad cloning with noticeable repeats of the same area used for the clone

Tongues that are purple or other colors you would never ever see on a living dog....the number of rich black and dark reds who have tongues the color of something that is dying of oxygen starvation, are numerous.

Altered toplines (sometimes you can even see the background peeking through between parts of the new topline and the dog's actual topline!)

As in the examples above, differences between the dog and background are common ways to spot altered photos.

More than ever, the only way to know what a dog really looks like is to be able to see that dog in person.
