I just found out some dog owners have been trying to start a class action lawsuit against Canidae, which is also made by Diamond Foods.

Anyone know what that is all about? So far, my furballs seem fine with it: no loose poops or gas, energy levels normal. One of them did upchuck on the bedroom rug the other night, but looks like he/she was eating grass!

Do you have a link to the information on the Class Action lawsuit?

Back in March there was one that hit the internet wondering if this is the same thing.  I think Lawerys will get rich and the owners will get slim to none.  It was a very board sweeping list that has now been parred down.

Yes, I found the link by following the trail of breadcrumbs from the link posted above to the dog food project:

Unfortunately, it gives zero info about what the problems were. I DO know Canidae changed their formulas without telling anyone.

Humm, let me see.

They want you to supply information, BUT you aren't part of the Class Action Suit.  So basically you are supplying information that will help other people get money.

From the ones I have seen in the past the lawyers make money.  Once in a while people will learn about dog food.

I think Diamond got a good dose of wake up call when they had all their problems.

I had not heard of any dogs dying from eating Canidae.  But they like to change their formula without telling anyone.  Not the most current switch but one about 3 years ago is when I stopped feeding Canidea.  The laws are pretty lax about forumal changes so they have some thing like 4 - 6 months to change the packaging to match the ingredients.

I just started feeding Chicken Soup to 2 of my dogs, one is on it fully (cast Iron gut, can switch foods in a day with her if I want to)  and the other is in the transition phase.  So far stools seem fine.  Both females seem to like the taste.
