If it is the female I'm thinking of, her last litter was only 2 puppies.

If she were a good producer, I can't see why he would sell her.

by eichenluft on 26 March 2009 - 14:03

exactly.  That price is more reasonable than most from Kraftwork - I'll be surprised if she produces at all.  More than likely they had problems getting her pregnant, or with whelping and selling her was the next option for her - of course telling people she was proven and excellent for breeding.  Time will tell...

$6500. is not a bad price for a 5 yr. old SchH3 working line female capable of producing puppies. I would have guessed about that +shipping, maybe a breeding thrown in to an in-house stud dog, from somebody else... Sounds low for Kraftwerk.

I hope your friend does not come to regret the decision. I tend to associate "over priced" with Kraftwerk in general. Gosh I wish I could apply his business plan to my bicycle shop - the more we charge, the more valuable the product appears to be. In any case, I hope your friend has learned a lesson and that the female will not have any undisclosed problems. Hopefully all will turn out well in the end.
