Sue-Ann

I saw an innocent post, wherein after getting input to a problem, the poster said she thought she was going to get "lambbasted" for her straight forward and to the point question. People in general are afraid to voice opinions or come forth with genuine questions. It's a VERY sad state when even the most innocent of peoples can't feel safe here. It's name calling and ridicule that makes this place so unfriendly. I just don't see why this can't be a friendly forum?! Disagree, call on the carpet, offer advice for a silly newbie quesstion or not, but keep name calling and ridicule at bay. Name calling shows a quick temper and disrespect for the entire site. Intelligent thought can bring a better response, and one that doesn't make tempers fly. One gets *heard* in a more effective way when using common courtesy. I'm a big girl I can take some scolding, especially when deserved. It's the newcomer with serious, honest questions that I'm most concerned with. Do you remember we all started as newbies?

To paraphrase Big & Rich: "Brothers and Sisters, We are here for one reason and one reason alone. To share our love of ..." (the GSD) It would be great if we could keep this in the backs of our minds. I don't exclude myself, I am as capable of getting carried away as the next person.
