I'd have gone off on them, I'm afraid, and told them exactly what I thought of them allowing their child to tease a dog with a straw without correcting the child. I'm afraid I would have pointed out that they should be more attentive to where their child was and what he was doing. I'm afraid I would have pointed out that if my dog wanted to bite the child, she would would have. I'm afraid I would have suggested that in the future, before they took their child out in public again they should put a leash on him and a muzzle on themselves.
People like that make me sick. And the sad fact is, the boy and the dog were probably having a field day with it.
