Thanks for clarifying, Brandi. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary on the website when I looked at it. The kennel name leaves something to be desired, as I'm wary of anyone who thinks that three letters is too long of a way to spell "THE" but as you said, to each his own. LOL
I did see a tiny pic of the dogs being bred and the female was attached to the thingamabob, but I guess I didn't see it as horribly different from the GSD folks who hold their females heads so they can't turn around and bite the male or muzzle one or both. Aggression during breeding can happen, and especially if it's someone else's dog you are breeding to, you don't want mishaps resulting in injuries, scars, etc. It happens more than you'd think, and the dogs are not necessarily overly dog aggressive. The (or should I say "Da") pic was too small for me to see that the male was that torn up. I saw sun reflections more than anything else...hard to tell what was scarring, what was sunlight, and what was looking weird from the funny way he was standing.

Its called a breeding stand and as someone mentioned above, it is no different then having to hold a female. I had one for yrs and it came in very handy. I could do a breeding by myself. Allot of the females would be total wiggle butts so the stand was very useful. I never had to worry either if the male would be injured.
I can see how some would take it as barbaric to force a female to breed but most people I know that have them, it is used as a safe, easy way to breed a dog. Great when you have a male who doesn't "get it" .
