Rezkat5, we have established that already. If you would take the time to scroll up and read all posts, you could have seen that as well!

Ok, please check out the page for her puppies for sale: www.archangelgermanshepherds.com/puppies.htm

Next, may I direct your attention to her statements about her quality being expensive, comparative to Neiman Marcus, Cadillac etc. and her promises of full registration along with full satisfaction: www.archangelgermanshepherds.com/upcoming.htm

It is also interesting to see her statements about bloodlines being combined successfully (which others have failed to do - guys, what are you all doing wrong?): www.archangelgermanshepherds.com/workingk9s.htm . I have checked her dogs (males and females) and have noticed that quite a few are out of showlines. Which of course makes me happy!! Isn't that proof that showlines can work. Sorry to dispute all of you workingline enthusiasts.

I am very intrigued with that breeding program and wanted more information about Malinda's philosophies. It seems that the SV and all breeders abiding by their program, were wrong! Malinda, please correct me if I am wrong. But none of your dogs have a showrating, breed survey etc. which is recognized? Keep in mind that a V-rating in Slovakia or the Czech Repulbic is not valid, unless done by an SV judge.

Malinda, what do you think should be the minimum requirement for breeding? Sound health? Temperament? Titles to back this claim? You claim to mainly breed for law enforcement purposes? What kind of dog do they deserve? So, are the PDs in your area buying puppies with their tight budget and raise them patiently and hope that they turn out  as good K9 prospects? How does that work? Do you still consider bringing in a Malinois into your GSD breeding program (correct me if I am wrong since that is second hand info)? There are quite a few who claim that the Mail is a better dog for PDs. What about the "Dutch Mali"? Years ago, my husband and I watched a demonstration by the Zanstaad PD (right outside of Amsterdam, Netherlands). It was quite impressive.

Hoping to get more information!

Regards, Chris

DesertRanger,

with your profanity, you are doing your friend Malinda a disservice. She is trying to run a serious legitimate business and does not need that kind of PR. How does that look if somebody has questions regarding the kind of service she offers and her philosophies and then gets an answer to f... off?

I agree that there is nothing wrong with making a profit, on the contrary!

BTW, nobody has ever called me a liberal, that is cute!! But I let you in on something, DesertRangers. Your comments and contributions have always rubbed me the wrong way as well, but I just ignore them. You should do the same with mine! Really sad that you have to revert to profanity, nice character!

Chris, Have you got the resources to spend a few days at Malinda's? It will be an unforgettable experience that will enrich you in ways unforeseen. You sound genuinely curious. Because you're a GSD breeder, you of course always want to improve your own knowledge and apply this knowledge to improving your lines. You pose questions that any legitimate breeder might ask. If you don't get these answers firsthand from Malinda, you'll be missing out. Beware, though: you'll definitely leave having picked your puppy. Adrienne

Hello Adrienne,

I wish I had the resources to spend a few days with Malinda, but we live far far away in the Washington DC Metro area. My husband and I would love to meet a person like Malinda. My husband because he is a fellow LEO (Malinda is one as well, right?) and I because as a GSD breeder, I am sure I could learn a lot from her breeding program. Again, I am really curious about what she has to say! She claims that she can combine lines with great success. Something, that most of us have so far failed to do! Czech, DDR, West German workinglines, lots of German showlines, wow!  And all that without abiding to SV breeding regulations.

And you are right: If I don't get answers to my questions from Malinda, I will be missing out.

Malinda, please would you answer my questions?

Chris

Mouth off all you like and i don't care who you like or don't like but you need to mind your own business and quit attacking people when you dont have a clue what your talking about...

Really, DesertRangers?

Why do I have to mind my own business? Maybe, I am interested in acquiring a dog from Malinda? Wouldn't these be legitimate questions? And why do you think that I do not have a clue about what I am talking about? Maybe, I do know more than what you think? Or maybe you don't have a clue. If that is the case, when you need to shut up. I told you before, just ignore my posts.

Malinda stated that she only breeds GSD. So, I wanted to know about the Mali cross she was contemplating years ago? Did that ever happen? And if so, what came out of it? What about the scientific two sire experiment? And who breeds the Retrievers on Malinda's other website? www.ustk9.com/dogs.htm

Oh, Malinda: Do you know these dogs here? http://www.offa.org/display.html?appnum=1028844#animal

With all due respect here, I am sure you run an excellent training facility. I would never dispute that. It is great that people are devoted. In addition to that, if somebody is really talented in training dogs, when he or she should make a nice profit from that. Most of us can use all the help we can get.

But when it comes to breeding dogs, that is and should be the business of others as well. Because of that approach some have ("this is a free country and I can do what I want"), we have to fight matters like the California legislation, breed bans and pet stores (see Andrew Hunte). I know that this is not Germany, but I can tell you that in Germany certain "breeding programs" would not stand a chance. Besides not getting papers for puppies like that, a breeder becomes big time liable in court, if the parents (and grand-parents and great-grand-parents etc.)  are not certified hip dysplasia free. Yes, breeders in Germany are liable for genetic health defects, if they can't prove that they were not aware of that defect at the time of breeding. Can you say that if you do not breed dogs who are hip certified? And no, prelims are not good enough! Every breeder should do his or her best in breeding high quality dogs! Good health, sound temperament, great structure, and in that order! The shelters are full of unwanted and dumped dogs. No need to aggravate that problem, just because somebody feels that they can do whatever they want and should not abide by some regulations. The breeders are at fault, not the unsuspecting puppy buyers who do not know any better. People are gullible. It is our responsibility to educate them. No breeder will have sound and healthy puppies all the time, we all know that. But it is a breeder's responsibilty to use sound and healthy dogs to the best of his or her knowledge. I am sorry, DesertRangers that you do not see it that way.

Malinda, you never answered, so I can only go by what I found out by researching you and your dogs. If this is not true, please explain it here and I will apologize! And no, I am not talking about this dispute over that puppy in California. That is between you and the owner.

I rest my case and back off now!

This thread was only entered into because of an accusation which has not been proven founded.  If you, Chris, don't like my breeding program, then don't buy a dog from me.  If you wan to use veiled "I'd like to come visit" whatever.  I have not RESPONDED because I have dogs to train, groom, raise and take care of.   I had just gotten a private email saying thta once again I am being bashed.

Whatever... if you enjoy the fodder of internet argument, then please find someone else.

I will post if and when I ever get proof that this von Erzengel dog is dying or has 15 different maladies.

As for you, Chris, I am sure your program is perfect for you just as mine is perfect for me.

I will not respond to this obvious attempt to bait a wonderful and productive debate here on the now infamous PDB.

good bye and good night.

LOL  Chris

Can't take having people attack you?  don't like it when someone goes after you? But I guess it is ok for you for attack and smear someone's character when you don't have a clue what you are talking about. You are a real worm!

i will close this by saying I have known Malinda for years and she has an excellent reputation in the working dog world and all around central texas. she runs a first class training and breeding facility and has many dogs that most people only dream about owning. i don't have to go knick pick her web site and every word she says as I know how she operates in real like.

Was I rude? Yes but people like you can only be handled by getting in your wussy face. You need to lose your elitest attitude and back off. I bet you would not know a real GSd if you saw one.

Malinda, I hope you don't think that I bashed you. That is something I do not do. I ask directly and come up with facts. That is why I posted. And I never use profanity. I leave that to people like DesertRangers.

But you are right, you do not need to answer me at all. Especially since I am not one of your clients or puppy owners. This is a free country.

As to my own breeding program: It is certainly not perfect. Nothing is perfect and you never cease to learn something new. There is always room for improvement, don't you agree?

Good night to you, too!
