Well Bob, let's be fair.

The man at the other end of the battle field with the squeaky toy might give me pause long enough for a sharpshooter to get me.

Then of course we have one of MaggieMae's 'junk yard' dogs out there showing us what the GSD *should* be.

WDC Championship

I know I've referenced it before but I never grow tired of watching that dog work for that little girl.  Talk about an intelligent, kind, level headed, attentive, GSD.

FH, how dare you post a video of that junkyard biting maching.  all he does is bite, bite, bite.  That dog is not what a gsd is supposed to be.

we'd be better off if they all chased water dishes on hot days and squeeky toys :(

and for those that are a bit slower than the rest, the above is all sarcasm

Bob -- Military and Police dogs are completely different.   They are the TRUE Working Dogs.    Trying to compare Schutzhund (the "so-called" Protection/Bite work) with a Military/Police dog is just laughable.   Show Lines are not training for Police and Military Work -- but they are still required to do the Sleeve Biting ??   Go figure.    Whatever "floats your boat."    You all know the SS is a Conformation Show -- so why do you all get so bent and continue to talk about the Performance/Bite work?    Wind your necks back in.................

what kennel is breeding Hesy Naspo or her line. thanks

by FHTracker on 11 June 2010 - 16:06

Exactly Zdog that's a junkyard biting machine right there.

*Snorts and winks*  It's a bitch worth her friggin weight in gold as far as I'm concerned.

As I said Miles, I can watch it and still be awed both by the work that young lady has put into being at that level of compeitition but the obvious devotion and desire to 'work' her canine partner exhibts.

That dog is what I want in an GSD, hands down.

*Edit*  Miles, Naspo is Czech lines.  You might shoot a PM to Prager since he has a lot of good information on Czech lines, he might be able to point you in the right direction.

Since this thread is too far gone to support any more reasonable conversation about the event, last post and I'm out. I have training to do then my dogs are going for a good long swim.

Maggie: "Show Lines are not training to be Police and Military Work" Wrong, my dear. I know many showline LE dogs and some of them are more powerful than some of the wokring dogs. Some, in fact, are bred by board member crhuerta. Some are out of German VA studs and I even know a Zamp son from the Bad-Boll kennel who has a repuation among all the decoys for his crushing grips. There is a great newspaper clip of him snuggling with the officer's kids at home. That's called balance.

Listening to MaggieMae talk to experienced sport enthusiasts about working dogs is like listening to a plumber tell a neurosurgeon how to remove a brain tumor.

MaggieMae, I can't believe you are still trying to argue with these simple minded people. How can they not see the beauty in an animal that has evolved into a non-working dog that doesn't serve a purpose, but to run in circles? They think that trying to stay near the breeds standard is noble. They breed their dogs with drive and structure that would enable the dog to endure a full days work. It disgusts me too. These junkyard dogs almost look like the old obsolete working dogs that that Max guy was breeding. I'm with you! I can't imagine what the breed would become without the showline breeders.

Maggie breeds pet rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can you stand here and try and defend/discuss any of this as you have told us numerous times you know nothing about training, health and on and on. Now you are trying to act like you know about bite work and what a real gsd is all about. Next you will be telling us about your training......which your training consists of come boy get in your kennel and come boy get in your crate. I mean you have stated on here that you put him in his kennel in the morning and he comes in around 8:00 pm last time I checked that is all day locked in his kennel. Sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So which lie is it today? Lawn ornament pusher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SP you sound like a child.  Is it nap time yet?

People really, all you have to do is breed better, train better, and show.  Then maybe your dogs will win.  But if you don't have the better dog, keep to your self.  You don't add anything.  SPORTSMANSHIP!!!  Can you say it, can you do it???
