Those of u who provided good advice to my wife and i thank u.  Just to let u guys know.  I have talked to my Vet about OFA certifications and we are going to get that done with our dame 1 month from wening.  Also did a little research on line and to some of the breeders out there they are a little worried about the inconsitancy of the OFA test.  Seeming as how one vet can give one rating one a dog and a different vet can give a different rating and the same dog.  But as he quotes, It's the only thing we have.  My wife and i have also enrolled Lucas into training in order to provide a more confidance background.  I have been doing research on all the certifications avaible for the GSD line.   Thanks for all of ur advice and i hope we can continue to ask questions with positive answers.

VanLuvender,

You stand up to the wind very well.    I'm glad.

Good luck.

I have a question more than any comment or advice...

When choosing what lines to breed your dog to,  wouldn't it make sense to wait until they have fully developed and matured so that you can see what thier strengths and weaknesses are,  and choose a mate based on that?   I'm not sure how a breeder would know in just puppies that the two would be compatible down the road to produce the best possible pups?

I agree completely,

People breed sometimes looking at pedigree's and bloodlines.   It makes so much more sense to know the dog, dogs.

I think that takes time, years and years.  Not just two.   And there is more to a dog than bloodlines and titles.   People breed what they want, its been said many times.  A narrow view at best.
