Beepy: in making that comment you have highlighted the lack of influence of the breed council on our breeders.  How can we get the KC to implement positive changes if we cannot get them within our own breed?

IMO we could lead by example and start with the breeders on the Breed Council Committee supporting their own charter and putting their own data on the Breed Council Database.

How can KC take the delegation seriously when they don't even subscribe to their own breed improvement schemes?

Of course everything doesn't have to be down to KC to make change. The breed clubs and council could do it themselves if people in this breed could ever agree on anything.

(missbeeb) & (beepy) Love you're attitude to problems! If you can't solve it one way, try another! Don't let people dampen you're resolve! The mandate for change has got to come from the membership of the breed clubs, through each club committee to the breed council, for the breed council delegates to negotiate with the K.C. in November. If we bang the drum hard enough through those lines of communication we might just get the people who can change what we want changed to sit up and listen. We need the best team of negotiaters to fight our corner, we need the membership of the clubs behind them, we use every trick in the book to achieve what the breed needs. We don't need people who are so negative, that they see failure before this get's off the ground! I'ts like the shoe salesman who goe's to a land full of natives who are all barefoot! goe's back to his boss and say's, no one wears shoes, so didn't bother and came back! So what is the morale of the story Mr, A SHEPHERD!!!!!!!!!   Bill Owen.

Instead of being negative & scathing , why not try being positve & supportive, BEEPY has ALREADY put a thread asking for suggestions as to what people want sent to the breed council to try to get them to actually MOVE on doing something, more appropriate would be putting suggestions on the thread yourself instead of griping about people who make the most noise doing nothing, if the cap fits ?????
