I was hoping that there would be a Russian contingent at the event, so I could learn something about the gsds being produced in Russia, getting re-acquainted with a couple Russian schutzhunders and meeting new ones.

re-acquainted? Do you know anybody, really? I can give you any information you want - it`ll be a pleasure! But I think not here in this thread as I don`t want to abuse its hospitality. I opened a thread about this event on our Russian-Ukrainian GSD forum, so I can send your regards to any acquaintance of yours!

Does anybody know whether it is possible to order any DVDs of this event?

Pat Relton, sorry, I was a bit foggy. I just wanted to say that if you mean recent times - now my country is called Russian Federation or Russia. Yes, the Russians go to WUSV but are not very succesful yet. More time is needed to revive the breed in Russia. I`m sure no one in my country is waiting for an invitation from Carlos Rojas, alas...

I have to give the invited competitors just a little more time,but check in often on this thread and ill post competitors little bit at a time.

Ekaterina Vilkova represented Russia at the WUSV twice, I think. She competed with a show line dog who acquitted himself very well at the event. She probably has a nother dog, now. I know she has bred working line litters. She was living in Germany, last I heard, training with Elmar Mannes.

what dog would Wallace be competing? What happens if the WUSV competitor's dog has been retired or injured? Doesn't the dog have to be qualified as well as the handler? Or maybe Wallace has another dog that is ready for that level already - wouldn't surprise me :)
