Dobieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I love dobiessssssssssss. I actually love dobies more than GSD's but its so hard to find a good one, and many times dobie tends to be 100% single person dog that I just find GSD to be better all around dogs. But yeah if i would be single and live back in Europe I would own only Dobies.

Without a doubt: DOBERMAN -blk/rust Kimbertal dogs are awesome, and can do schutzhund just like our GSDs.

I like alot of different dogs but the only one that I want to have are GSD's.

I've only ever had GSDs but really would like to try a Malinois. I've heard they don't make good pets (and my working/competition dogs have always been pets first). I've heard the phrase "German Shepherds on crack." Is that a fair assessment in general?

.. I think more like a Border Collie on crack.  But, that's just me.

Dachshund. Tough and quiet little dogs who can go all day or hang out on the couch all day. No need for cats in the barn! excellent hunters AND friends with the cat!!!

This is such a cute topic to talk about

Scottish Terriers aka Highland Terrorists. Tough, fearless, smart and tenacious. There is good reason that the Highlanders had a pack known as the Die Hards. The clans used them as little war dogs. They'd be formidable in schutzhund, if they were bigger. Great watch dogs and protectors, without the yappiness of a small dog. They have NO CLUE they are small. BUT...stubborn and spiteful as hell!! I would NOT want to live with one ever again.

I can't think of another pure bred dog I would favor over my GSD's.  I like em all,  but if I couldn't own a GSD I would probably have a medium size curr with better than average survival skill's, good manner's, and a small appetite.
