Sorry... it blipped on me!

cont...

they neither know nor care about what the breed should look like?  If an ugly (incorrectly constructed) dog must (?) be bred from, should the breeder not be responsible enough to try to compensate?  Vice versa, of course!

At least you acknowledge the worthy work Shepherds do in other spheres.

Look at that John.  They glide right past that description as if it doesn't even matter anymore, doesnt exist.  As if they can figure those things out by doing a little ob or worse yet, some agility.  What a joke and how very sad.  I have always said popularity has been the destruction of our beloved breed because every know nothing Tom, Dick and Harry thinks they can throw their hat in the ring, cut corners, and start breeding GSDs.  What's incredible is they are so arrogant or so dumb they actually think  anyone other than those who don't know any better  will swallow their rationalizations.

You can try to justify it all you want, you are still putting nothing but mediocre crap pets out in the world when you breed your unproven pet stock.  Miss Beeb you have admitted you don't know anything about schutzhund or any other grip sports, yet you continually remark about these things you have no knowledge of.  Instead of wasting so much time spouting off, either talk about your pets or start learning about trials and training, but please no more inane, dumb comments.  When you kept repeating yourself about how some dog was a schH II and therefore breed worthy, how the hell would YOU know?  Oh I forgot you thought he was a real pretty dog.  Give us all a break.  Don't you dare talk to me about the SV, you have no clue what it's about, you stupid ninny.

I go back to the SV.   Oh yeah, that's the biggest joke of all, you think you know more than them, but you can't even meet the minimum requirements for Pink Papers!  You are what's wrong with the breed today.

I believe the reason grip sports and HGH herding are important is because dogs that excel in those arenas can easily do just about anything else (DUH), but it does not go the other way around, not by a long shot.  You have no clue what qualities in the dogs  are brought to the table in competing at grip sports.  Do you know what type of dog it takes to do man work, what goes into a dog like that, the qualities that must be inherent in the dog to do the job right yet still be a stable member of the family?  It's not something you practice once a week, you must work at this with dogs to get to the podium, oh but you go on with your agility and your fly ball - what a joke.

"I like grip sports, and am knowledgable of them, but do not have the time nor money to travel 3 hours one way for 10 minutes of protection work.  I can train my dogs in agility, obedience, and tracking all in the same day for $25." (Xeph)

Well Xeph, this statement takes the cake for the dumbest yet.  I'd like to know who out there has titled their dog to even a scHI  doing just "10 min of protection work".  But you can bet your ass we are out there at club, watching and learning, doing our homework, practicing at home what we learn at club.  And it's not "10 min of protection work" except to someone who can't be bothered to take the time to learn what it actually is all about.   Just like a spoiled child, just because you can do something by no means says you should be doing it.  If you are cutting corners you have no business breeding GSDs.

All of you can keep on with your rationalizing of why you should be able to breed your nasty little pet dogs, just like spoiled childeren, but you are fooling no one and doing the breed a great disservice.  When was the last time a serious competitior ever came to see one of your litters with anything more than a snigger - the answer is painfully clear.

Now go ahead with your bad selves, talk amongst you and cluck about how much you should breed your pets because you looooooove your doggies.  I have to get ready to track, (which I do at least 3 times a week)  then drive my 2+ hours one way to club, which I go to 2 -3 times a week, then work on training multiple times a day at home.

Do I breed?  Nope, I care too much and love the breed too much.  I won't slap those decent, hardworking breeders who have worked long and hard to earn the knowledge neccesary to breed QUALITY dogs, not just backyard pets.  Oh and before you put MORE words in my mouth, I have many friends in the show world who also place emphisis on the work, and many friends in the working dog world who breed survey their breeding dogs, unlike the rest of you slackers, so don't go crying on their doorsteps, they have no sympathy for you either.  They are sick to death of assholes who talk about how they bought their dogs because of all the titles in the pedigree,  so that means they deserve to be bred.   Oh but oops, they don't actually get any titles on THEIR breeding stock - "Its too hard....It's too far....waaa waaaa waaa".  Plus the breeder they bought the dogs from already did the work for them on their dogs parents.

What a bunch of lazy hypocrites.

LOL, what an angry piece you are!  When I remark on Sch, it's generally to point out that it's not the only discipline... that can't be too tough for you to understand, can it?  Pretty dogs?  Do you mean correctly constructed dogs?  Is that hard for you because it's beyond your comprehension and ability?

Yes, I've competed in obedience and Working Trials, to a very respectable level and with more than one dog.  Your problem with that is?  Oh! Yeah... no grip work... the only thing you measure the whole dog by!

Re-read the posts... YOU need to see a dog work before it's  what?  Acceptable / passable and you expect to be taken seriously?  The SV will be calling on your expertise sometime soon then?

I reiterate, it's your prerogative to settle for less... and you clearly have!

Unfortunately you have found this board, and make it your business to waste peoples time by constantly flapping  your gums  about things you have no clue about.   By the way, no one buys a dog or says "oh he must be able to work he has a title" except an idiot no nothing blowhard such as yourself.

Really?  Well... that'll give us quite a lot in common!  Tho' I'm happily not so angry and miserable with the world.

Oh that's brilliant.  You are now reducing yourself to "no, you are". Miss Beeb please at least have the decency to first learn about something before you venture an opinion, and no, thankfully I have nothing in common with the likes of you.

I've likely forgotten more than you may ever know!  You're too angry with the world and anyone who dares to disagree with you...mmmmm kind of like a bully?  I respond badly to bullies!

You are ruining the breed.

Single handedly? LOL  It's been nearly 12 years since I bred a litter!
