BTW, the kennel I posted doesn't appear to be calling them Shiloh's but they are calling them "old style" and large. I guess "old style" can mean many things.

Tina is much more qualified to answer your questions about the hips and OFA. I know as an owner (versus a breeder) of one of
Tina's dogs I am required to have my dogs hips x-rayed, either OFA or PennHip, once prior to two yrs of age and once just after two yrs of age, and the findings submitted to the SSDCA to be documented and compared to the xrays of the littermates.
Since this is a public forum and I am just an owner and not one of Tina's licensed breeders, I don't have a lot of knowledge about the technical aspect of the record keeping. I just know it is fairly accurate and incredibly extensive.

So why are people against them?
----------------
That's a good question -- As if the purebred German Shepherd Dog was just "miraculously" created by Max.
My guess is because some of the Posters don't like Shiloh's and the Breeder because they do NOT CONFORM. We must all CONFORM, you know -- Lockstep !

I don't understand making new breeds-- it seems there are enough breeds already in existance for people to choose whatever they want and for every purpose, why make new ones?

Mutts
I will not pay 1500.00 for a mixed breed dog. To each his own. I feel if this is what she wants to do let her but don't expect me to support it or care about it. I like old style gsd but I just do not see that in these dogs. JMO
