The buck stops with Oli who must take responsibility,
for the moderators.

There is no such thing as a happy middle ground,
either you have freedom of speech or you don't.

Sometimes you don't notice the moderator, and
other times it gets so bad  you have to ask them what
they want you to type.

How about if each moderator is given a user name, and each moderator selected for his/her experience with the breed (not because they whined to you), and that this experience is posted in there user account info in an area much like the area for kennel information.

Moderator A
Moderator B
Moderator C

We have had anonymous moderators with agendas -some of them went on a power trip. Some of them were very disrespectful if our opinions weren't in line with their agendas. There must be some checks and balances, or all of the past crap will just repeat over and over again.

Power corrupts, total power corrupts totally.

We will all have user names and no our experiences will not be listed. Members are not required to list their experiences why should the moderators have to. You will know it is a moderator soon as each name will have a moderator tag. We will always try to use our on post box, but it is not possible in all cases.

German shepherd dog - I assume you are a monderator?

how many of moderators will there be?
how will the moderators be easily identified?
what will the checks and balances be?

At this point in time, there isn't much respect for moderators on this site. Having some sort of bio would help with this issue. This would also force you to live up to your reputation.....instead of being able to take pot-shot behind a vail of secretsy.

I guess that what I'm looking for is some form of accountability for the moderators. After the last few months, I don't think its too much to ask, is it?

Did you not read Oli's op. He will code the site to track moderators. You will know it is a moderator because it will say under their user name moderator. Please give that some time as it might take Oli a few days to get it done.

When the moderator list is final I will post it here.

Please remember credibility/reputation is a 2 way street.

You people amaze me even though I already know what to expect from you.
This is my last login for a while, I hope others do the same, until these moderators are no more.
If you people can't cope without a moderator holding your hand then I may never come back.
Merry Christmas to you one and all,
Best wishes,
Brent.

The moderators are not going to be leaving, Oli is in the process of recoding the whole site and he is not going to do all that work to get rid of the moderators. This site like all other forums needs moderation.

Moderators should have the ability to lock threads physically. It's all fine and dandy to say it's locked, but if posts can still be added it's not really locked is it?. Stop deleting threads and posts.

Happy Festivous.
