ps. Looking into the 404 with register

Another issue I've noticed is that whenever someone posts a link, the URL is starting with https: instead of http: so most links don't work unless you manually remove the 's'.
Thanks for all of your effort, Oli!

What it the max file size a photo can be?
Sometimes I can post a photo, and sometimes it doesn't work.

If its pictures for the pedigrees/classifieds/picture galleries/breeder listings then it's something that I am doing and coding. No upper limit there except normal internet timeout if the upload is taking too long time.
If it's the forums and the text input for that, then I am using an external solution that I have really no control over. http://ckeditor.com/ for the editor itself (and spellcheck and such) and from the same developer http://ckfinder.com/ to handle image uploads and such. This has the option setting to limit max file sizes to 4mb and to resize all pictures to a max of 600/400 pixels. This stuff is pretty much plug-n-play and allows stuff (like image uploads and text fanciifiing that wasn't possible before). If something doesn't work with this stuff, my source of action is to post a question ticket to their support forums and hope someone answers me and a solution is possible.

Keith Grossman: both should work equally well. The site is fully https compliant. Some prefer to use it in that manner, which explains why their link posting includes the s in https.
I fixed the picturegallery to line up the text+picture more elegantly. I am showing 16 galleries per page, I want viewers to let me know if I should have less. loading a page with minimum pictures = 10 can result in image loads that goes over 20 mb.

404's should be dealt with if the dog already exists.

People with overloading images/text, error messages and such.
There are legacy problems with IE6, IE7 and IE8. (and only them really) I will not be creating solutions for each and everyone of them, but rather trying to figure out a clever way to serve static stuff to those browsers (i.e. no nifty new things). They are just simply too broken and any solution would have to be redone for each and every one of them since they are not really backwards compatible (i.e. stuff that works on IE6 can be broken in IE7 and so forth). Hopefully those fixes will roll out soon ( I won't launch the new layout until the IE issues are ironed out)

I have been using the beta URL for the past few days and, as I've said previously, I like the new layout and functionality very much.
I do have a bit of a problem with the page width of the text pages (forum posts). It's too wide. Reading text that flows across the entire width of the monitor when a text window is maximized is very tiring on eyes and diminishes reading comprehension. There is an ideal width, and I've forgotten what that is. I know: I could just resize my browser window to something that suits me but then I'll have to redo it when I leave the PDB site.
I'm wondering if it would make sense to increase the borders on the text window so that the window size is decreased a little?
