I'm sorry is it just me or has Drago and Bomber not proved themselves as just average in big trials??? An above post says  that without the sport of ipo etc the pool from which to breed from would dwindle of certain drives yet neither of these dogs have been in any of the big trials in Europe actually Drago was but the results were poor, and still they breed like crazy with him and Bomber Why?? Did the Europeans see something we don't??? Both dogs are for sure beautiful to look at and certainly their lines are good but how can we say how good they are unless they trial on the big stage or why didn't they while they were in Europe? It's easy to make a home video to make your dog look great (any videos I have seen of Bomber looked only average, his healing was bad he crouches in on his handler and is crooked in his basic positions and not much speed in the long attack) but different altogether to perform at the BSPS or WUSV WM. I am aware there are a lot of people who have Drago pups on this forum so I will probably get hammered for posting this  but opinions are like buttholes everybody has got one.

I do not think your questions are unfounded. People are breeding to these dogs because of what they are producing more than what they have accomplished themselves. This is not uncommon at all and good breeding practice. As has been hammered to death by people on here who do nothing with their dogs, the podium finishers aren't always the best producers. Michael Jordan is the best player ever in the NBA, but, he hasn't reproduced himself. Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull are two of the greatest hockey players ever to lace up a pair of skates. They both produced sons who were close to as good as they were, in some ways better. Gretzky hasn't. Archie Manning was a pretty good quaterback, but, he has produced two sons who have far exceeded anything he did on a football field. Breeding, if you have the proper mindset, should be about pairing dogs together that complement each other. Obviously, both these dogs are good looking, and that is part of the equation, if the pairing fits, as well.    

I agree with you for sure OGBS all anyone has to do is watch the videos of last years WUSV WM winner Hank vom Weinbergblick actually he won it two years straight now but this year was very unconvincing. 

Is he a great dog? No in my opinion. Is he an exceptionally well trained dog..... Yes!! So I agree with you but my point is neither Drago or Bomber have really produced anything yet other than  some really nice looking puppies so how are we sure they are capable of doing so if they are not tested at the highest level??

look at dogs like Zico von der Adelgg or kinski vom heidhof just two examples, how are Drago and Bomber even put next to near these dogs?? The Europeans wouldn't of sold them if they we that great.
