I eat COOKED meat, fish and poultry... NOT raw. ...with the occasional exception of a little sushi, that is. SS

You tell em' 4pack! I ran out of my raw food the other day too. I called dominos and asked if they could deliver a raw pizza with extra anchovies and sausage. LOL You are exactly right. it's easier than going out of your way to that special store to get Fido his extra special food. Or even having to order online or dare I say by phone

I have been BARFing my dogs with veg but without grains for the last three years. I have added cornmeal to my dogs diet recently and found that the cornmeal actually helps in calcium absorption, probably due to the magnesium in the cornmeal, an alternative would be wholemeal wheat. Eventhough the cornmeal contains carbohydrate, I do not rely on it for the energy, but only to help calcium absorption. Does anyone have similar observation?

Don't forget the alfalfa plus 25 herb formula that they swear by in Europe: Hokamix. Good info on it here: http://www.naturmix.com/pages/products/hokamix.html Mix a couple tablespoons into their raw frozen food. Common Sense or Darwin's Buffalo, Chicken, Beef, etc. My 7 month old female's coat is shiny and she doesn't stink like "dog" or have bad breath like the last one who was on kibble most of his life. She looks, acts, and smells healthy and has an amazing amount of vigor. So far so good. I'm not going back to commercial dry food; I just don't trust that this enzyme deplete, over-processed junk benefits anyone but the manufacturer.

Very interesting article related to vitamin/mineral nutrient impact on the young dog skeletal system. http://www.ilovemypet.com/jackart.html Kyle
