I contacted the show dept of the KC regarding this but alas they haven`t replied to me. I asked them early last week. I am hoping to get a reply.

We also need to know the criteria/requirements for entry in the open or working classes, who the helpers are etc, dogs will need a lot of preparing for the working classes and we are nearly creeping into August now, time is running out and it will be easier and a lot less stressful to opt out of the working classes a) if we are given the choice and b) if we dont get some info forthcoming from the Sieger show committee soon. Sorry to be a pain and I know there is a lot of time and work involved in these events but we also need plenty of time to prepare dogs for this event, especially for the working classes.

If full information is NOT forthcoming very soon, I am aware of several exhibitors who will give this years British Sieger a miss. I find the lack of important information unacceptable, shows/events are supposed to ATTRACT entries, I am coming to a viewpoint that internal politics and personal agendas are the TOP consideration in the UK when it comes to organising and holding a show/event. BACK TO BASICS is certainly required these days, if you want a successful show. That means "LOOK AFTER THE EXHIBITORS" for without them you have NOTHING.

Surely if your dogs already have Schutzhund qualifications for the working class any preparation can be done at your local schutzhund club?

What special arrangements are required and why do you need to know who the helpers are?

Will this have any bearing on your entry? And if so why?

Langhaar: Do you know how the Courage test is conducted in respect of the German Sieger Show?
and do you know how many Schutzhund Clubs exist in the UK, and how many may facilitate the time for practice?

Hi Carol,

Like Langhaar I too wondered why we needed to know who the helpers are going to be? Could you please explain the need for this information so all can be equally aware of the reason/s why ? Who knows it may be important !

Best Regards

Sue B

Hi All,

Sorry, forgot to ask the question I thought more relevent; Does anyone know who the judges are yet? I took a look at the GSDL website but did'nt see any mention of this years British Sieger on it at all yet.

Regards

Sue B
