Oli, thank you for all your hard work on the site. Merry Christmas to you and yours, definitely looking forward to a busy dog filled New Year.

Those moderators are gone? Wonderful - that is a great Christmas present for me. Thank you very much. I look forward to a great New Year on here.

We will not try to figure it out. If you change a moderator comment or impersonate a moderator it is your bad.

I haven't commented much on the moderation going on here..Some of it is good, but some is just totally out in left field, showing a definite bias. Some of what's deleted is well within the terms of service, and is removed without comment.
As far as there being new mods, the old ones being gone, we have only the word of an anonymous individual saying these things. Oli realizes the need to track what's going on here, and I hope that everything is okay with him.
Don't know what's going on in his life right now, but I clearly understand why he doesn't spend his life here...This is a website, a cyberworld that too many here spend their days immersed in. I don't come by here that much...I have a life outside this board, a dog that is real, not just an avatar picture, two kids, a house, a yard, and way too much more to list. There is a Winter Storm warning going on here, making snow shoveling, plowing, and other winter-related activities pressing, as well.
As for those who are totally against moderation...I'm glad to see that someone is finally enforcing TOS, because I have seen flaming and personal attacks made on people, then the pack mentality kicking in and others jumping on the bandwagon, too. It happens even now, with the moderators, because of what certainly appears to be agendas.
It is totally possible to disagree with someone without calling them names. I do it all the time, in my personal life, on here, everywhere. I treat others with respect, because that's what I would like to get back. I have started to post a number of messages here of late, then ended up closing the window, rather than posting. There is no point to attacking, flaming, insulting, cursing, etc.. Before you post a message, read it from the point of view of someone else reading it, and try to consider how it will be taken. You can be straightforward without being insulting, and it's not hard to do.
For those whose life is consumed here, there is one very effective solution for the problems of the internet, and that's to close the browser. Shut off the machine, and look at what's going on elsewhere. That little red x up at the top right of your browser window takes care of everything.

The lack of respect for the moderators is partly due because of their secrecy. There are plenty of people who have EARNED respect in this community and could moderate without problems and be known, just like many, many other forums (dog related or not).

There is something about being known that keeps you honest.

Example: Ulli could be a mod.

I agree,...Also there is something about being
honest that ...it won't belong before you are known.
But I have seen people attacked for being honest and
open. Shitheads tend to focus in on people like that.
I think because they think honest people won't fight back.
In a perfect world, not the internet you could trust people.
