I like the second picture,  looks like he is already using his nose.

Yes, and thank you. I think there is a mighty hunter in there somewheres! Some real action shots, coming up here... Regular Smile

check out the "ring" on his tail in the middle...and the tip, lol!

And, now we are tired. LOL

so cute

the ring on the tail, near the base, is common in GSD pups

I must say though...his expression looks GSD...but his body structure, movement, coat length/texture and tail shape look kind've lab-ish

LOL, I just love the bum in the air shots!  What a cute tush! makes you wanna squeeze him to death.
I like the way he is put together, he's going to be a looker.

Bee, your other GSD is a good looking dog too!

YAY Bee new pics. I just want to hold him. In that one pic I noticed the ring right off. He is so handsome and he is growing fast.

Euro he does look kind of labish but I wonder if that's possible to get that color from a lab x gsd? In that one pic he looks like he's trying to point........whatever his dad was he is sure a handsome little guy. Can't wait to see what he looks like grown.

Thanks for sharing the new pics Bee. Keep em coming--I love seeing everybody's dogs especially puppies...........

well, labs don't have a blue gene (or silver....) those silver labs IMO are just weim/lab mixes.
these new pics showing him growing up...doesn't seem quite purebred now :(  though he's still an incredibly good lookin' hunk!  but I'm seeing some non-GSD characteristics now.  Since they look lab-ish, perhaps it's possible he has one of those "silver" lab/weim crosses in him?
But, GSD still seems to be overall dominant in him :)

Euro, what do you see now that you didn't see before? I didn't think they were pure GSDs the first time Steph posted their pics. The stance, body language, white feet, chest, totally flat ears, sprung rib cage, etc...

Interesting that you say Weimeraner; when Simon was a puppy, EVERYONE thought he was a Weim. He had ice blue eyes, a grayish nose, and was almost a blue hue, though he's actually a light chocoloate. I see Pit in those pups, not just Beau. The pump handle tail carriage on the one was a pretty good clue. Perhaps Dad was a Pit/GSD cross? They also look just like an oops litter of Pit and GSD I knew- wider and stockier than "regular" GSD pups but nothing obvious that screamed "PIT BULL" to most onlookers. The coat is all wrong for a GSD, too. GSD pups at that age are starting to get hints of their adult coat or are still in the stages of baby fuzz...neither coat type describes Beau's coat. I think he's going to be a very masculine, stocky looking dog, the kind of dog everyone stops and asks "What IS that?!"

Euro I wondered about the weim too--last night when I was going to sleep that's the last thing I remember thinking about. LOL  You know I lead a boring life huh? I said that because altho I see what Jenn is talking about in his stockiness and all, he is definately pointing on a couple of those pics.........3 & 5--sure looks like a young pointer type breed to me and it would make sense about his color and his coat. Maybe Dad was a weim/gsd cross. But no matter he is very unique and like Jen said he will be the type of dog people will stop on the street to check out...........

Lots of dogs point. Honestly, though my GSDs hardly ever do it, my Pits do it all the time. The really stocky build, clear white patches and the tail and rib cage are what throws me off for Weim, although we have no reason to say his father couldn't have been a mix of more than 2 breeds. Weims are lean. His dam isn't a big, wide, GSD if I recall, so that's what makes me think something else is in there, either instead of or in addition to.

Here is Simon, around 8 weeks old, if I remember right.

My caption for this one was "wtF???" He was staring at a locust, if memory serves.

Very nice pictures Bee. The little monster is very cute, and getting BIGGER. LOL

I think Mojo (handsome devil that he is) is very smart to make friends with Beau, who is built like a mini-tank. Beau may end up being the biggest of the two.

Can't wait to see a picture of Beau and Mojo playing together in the first snowfall.
