This is why I find it hard to believe, unless the individual was obviously going to be difficult and negative I just cant see how this could repeatedly happen.

Haz, what possible reason would there be for stating this if it weren't so?

by Blitzen on 06 April 2014 - 23:04

Sorry SunSilver but if the dog would shut down from a prong correction its suffering from a genetic fault.  Such a dog will require constant coddling if this is infact true, not a good dog and not the recipient of your typical training regimen.

ROFLMAO, you really don't get it, do you?

by vk4gsd on 06 April 2014 - 23:04

its the disconnect thing again. anyone who does not see it like the entrenched/fundamentalist ipo crowd is wrong, stupid and ignorant...end of story.

by Blitzen on 06 April 2014 - 23:04

It truly is a disconnect, isn't it? Duh.......

by Haz on 07 April 2014 - 00:04

Lol ok Blitzen guess I just dont get the same stuff you and vk4 get..LOL.

A dog that shuts down from a prong correction is normal and is a great dog to train to a high level.  You should train it exactly the same way you would train your average GSD or Mal.

There is that better!

Just curious, when do any of you Experts have time to walk your dog.......let alone train it?

Seems like you spend 24 hours a day on this forum discussing the Pedigrees of dogs that you have never seen or handled, providing critiques on x-rays when you're not trained Veterinarians (OFA does not care what you think, why should anyone else) or providing references for Breeders that you have never purchased a dog from!  LOL

Keep it up folks, the PDB will make to Reality TV someday....but your face will never been seen.

LOL

If you have a dog, please........ Take it for a Walk (and try not to use a cattle prod on it)

Blitzen- Your a joke!  If that comment was serious!  Really....is that the Best you got?

Send me (openly or in a PM) your real name and real e-mail address. I will send you some clips from today's training.

In fact, there are at least 3 people reading this post that have already seen some of the prep work that we did today for an upcoming demonstration which benefits a Dog shelter.

So unless you were making a joke.....take your B.S. somewhere else.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I was doing some cardio work with my new Pirate Wench.

Lol if it makes any difference I just came back from training and have clips to prove it.

Never claimed to be an expert.  Forums are for nothing more then discussion which often becomes spirited debate, not gospel by any stretch. :)
