Now all liberals think the U.S. is evil?  Give me a break.  Much easier to spout  incendiary phrases rather than actually have an intelligent conversation.  Much easier to name call than to actually treat people with respect and move forward.   Nuke'em, kill'em or hang'em is the solutuion right?  Remind anyone of the "final solution" proposed by Hitler?

by Do right and fear no one on 17 July 2007 - 04:07

No, not all liberals are evil.  Most are not.  What irks me is that liberals think that all Conservatives are evil.

We want the rich to get richer.  We want to starve children.  We want to kill those that want to kill us, instead of "talking" with them.  We want to cut down all of the trees.  We want to make senior citizens eat dog food.  We want to not kill babies in the womb (yes, I said babies, not fetuses).  The list goes on and on.  Tell me sue.  What do you think about the current state of these United States.  Best country in the world or one of the worst?  On a scale of 1 to 10, where are we as opposed to the rest of the worlds countries.  Which country is the worst and which is the best in your opinion?  Speak honestly.  You are amoung friends here

You want my HONEST opinion?  I am a ciitzen of the world.  I pray for world peace.  Now go ahead & have yourselves a field day making moronic jokes.  I am tired and I'm going to bed.

DR-I have never felt the need to share this but I will tell you this. I am a 100 percent disabled US Marine. I will never have a full nights sleep again. I will never have a full day of peace again without stabs of panic. I have four children that I lay in bed and try not to cry about because they don't have a "normal" mother. I didn't join the military for a free education or "see the world". I joined because I felt it was, for me, the loyal and honorable thing to do. And, guess what? Even if I knew the outcome I would do it again. Because my conviction was and is that this country is great because we all have the freedom to defend it and it's interests in the way our consciences dictate. I'm sorry to inform you that you don't get to be the Grand Puba of Conscience.

I feel the bottom line of what you are saying is largely true. And I know racial differences can skew my impressions to make things look true that may not be universally true. I know there is a lot of information liberals don't get that conservatives do and alot that conservatives don't get that liberals do. When you show the vitrolic hatred for anyone who disagrees or refuses to conform to your views you make yourself into the thing you hate. That sort of thinking is what makes people attack each other. Your attack wasn't physical, but it was damn close because I felt like some one hit me in the stomach with a sucker punch when I read it.

You should be ashamed of yourself because you sound like a Taliban yourself when you speak to a lady that way simply because she had the "nerve" to think contrary to you. I am NOT calling you Taliban but saying your contempt for women ruins your case against them. Not for what you say or think, but for trying to bully and abuse others for their views. You talk about Muslims hating Americans yet you are hateful to other Americans because you can't bully them.

No one here is degrading your ideas but you.

And by the way, you aren't the sole fucking owner of that flag.

by Do right and fear no one on 17 July 2007 - 05:07

I won't make any jokes Sue.  I do appreciate someone who has enough guts to be honest, knowing that she will be rediculed by many.  But I will say that it is sad that someone does not claim their country.  You and others may not like where I stand, but at least I stand.  Some just lie down and beg.

Good night and sleep well, and know that there are men and women, standing at the door, just in case the wolf comes howling in the middle of the night, while you are asleep.  They call themselves law enforcement, military personnel and citizens of the United States.  Not members of the World Peace Organization.

Can't sleep now.  Do Right, please believe me when I tell you I know who protects this country.  Many in my family have paid with their lives.  Mine is a military family.  You know what I think is sad?  It's sad when people wrap themselves in the flag but don't have a clue what it means.  As for what you stand for,  great, that's your perogative.  Just remember a person can be a patriot even with beliefs different from yours.  Yep, I want to see world peace, end of hunger, end of aids, end of war even here at home.

by Do right and fear no one on 17 July 2007 - 07:07

dawgs:  Where oh where did I denegrate women?

But anyway.  I also am a Marine Veteran (SSGT, 8 years, infantry).  I also am a Navy veteran (Yeoman 1st class).  I also joined, not for an education (still haven't finished high school yet) or a job, but for patriotic reasons.  I also do not sleep well at night, hence why I writing this at 2:42 am.

I am unsure why you are so upset at me, unless it is of course that you are a liberal and you don't like what I wrote about that.  If that is the case, be a Marine and deal with it.  Once a Marine, always a Marine is our motto.

You are so way off with that Taliban crap that I can not even discuss that with you.  If you don't agree with me, argue with me about the merits of your beliefs, not with name calling.  Explain to me why it is alright to kill an unborn child through abortion (if that is what you believe), but then I can be charged with double murder if I shoot and kill a pregnant women.  Explain your views about welfare.  Tell me your feelings about the war in Iraq, etc.  But don't compare me to the Taliban, prefacing it with the fact that you are 100% disabled, so that I am not at liberty to argue with you without appearing to be unsympathetic.  I am not disabled because I was lucky or I was good or I was blessed or I was not in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Who knows why you got severly injured and I didn't.  Does that make me any less qualified to discuss politics and such, and have an opinion?

I did not seek or get a disability from my military service, nor did I seek or get a disability from my law enforcement career, as many did and do, although I qualified for it from each.  I lost my hearing in one ear completely in the military (81 mm mortar platoon), and I fucked up my knee and also got stabbed while a police officer.  I received an honorable discharge from both the Marine Corps and the Navy.  I retired from the police department under a normal retirement, even though I could have sought the disability retirement and not have paid taxes on my pension for the rest of my life.  I chose not to.  It as a matter of honor to me, and I knew that my three sons would know and I wanted to set an example for them.  I am not saying that those that do, do those things are not as good as me, it is just that I made a choice that was right for me.

I thank you for your service to our country.  I am sorry that you are not "normal" in your eyes.  My guess would be that your children do not see you any differently than my children see me.

Again, you are way off base on your assumption that I am "picking" on a woman.  I do not do that, ever.  As a matter of fact, it is the total opposit.  I do not condesend to them, treating them as an equal (unless of course we are talking sports).  I am the first one to step up and defend a women that is being bullied, as I recently did for "policemom" on this web site., although it really is not possible to "bully" someone on the internet, when most all are anonymous.

I am the last person on earth who could be called a racist.  I have a black daughter-in-law (not African American, just black) and a daughter-in-law who is Puerto Rican.  My only Grandchild is half Puerto Rican.  I have three sisters and a brother who are half Chinese (we have the same mother but different fathers), my best friend is Gary Kane, who is Currently a Sgt. with the Cleveland Police and is black.  My wife is Blackfoot Indian and Irish.  I have several close friends who are Palestinian Muslims who live in Cleveland and are like family to me.  I love all of them and would die for all of them, if called upon to do so.  I am German/Irish.  Where did that racist bull come from?

You are also way off in your statement that I think I am the Grand Pupa, and my ideas are the only correct ones.  I simply stated that I stand where I stand and I will let you know where I stand.  Like it or not.  I will not change my position (flip-flop), depending on who I am talking with, as so many will.   That is why I like Ronald Reagan (greatest President in my lifetime) and George Bush so much.  The do not flip-flop.  You may not agree with them (and I sometimes do not), but I admire their courage of conviction.

You yourself state that the bottom line of what I am saying is true, but then you denegrate me, while saying out of the other side of your mouth that no one is denegrating me except myself.

I have been honored by the Congress of the United States (108th Congress, look it up), and received letters form many Senators and Congressman, including Repuplicans (Voinovich, DeWine, etc), and Democrats (Kucinich, Tubbs-Jones, etc.), thanking me for my service.   I have received two Christmas Cards from George Bush himself.   I have a son in the Air Force and a daughter-in-law in the Air Force.

And just so you know, I have two American flags flying in the front of my home, everyday, and I AM the fucking owner of both of them.

Hi everybody,

The following picture is also from Turkey.

Yes i am one of those "muslims".

I was really shocked when i read the masseges above. You put all muslims in same case. Bealive me or not in turkey we all effected heavily by terorrism more then you, we gave more then 30.000 martyr in last 15 years and they were all young blameless and brave soldiers who wanted to protect thier country from terrorism... We have no problem with Europa or US... The ones who have problem with you is also have problem with us, the same terrorist groups bomb us as they do to you. And additionaly we have trouble with a kurdish terrorist group. But most of us don't put all the kurdish people in to same case, we now that not all of them are terrorists and mostly we live with most of them in peacefully. Whatever, i tried to point that Turkey is so different then you know, we are so different then arabic countries. In your history books we are the bad guys, and in our history books you were always agrrassive to us. But i know that it changes from country to country, the goverments try to bring up patriot citizens and this passes through from blaming "the other ones".

Hi it's me again. I just wanted to add to this baord that in the state of Ohio the laws are not together great but with help are getting better. We have lobbied to sticken them up for the past 4 years. When I was reading this I saw someone else from here. I am not only a new breeder but I am what some would call an activist but not to the extreems of like peta or anything not to say they do anything wrong.

In the state of Ohio we got it passed that  you have the right to call on athorities if you see something wrong.(police I mean) They have no choice but to at least take a look.If they don't you can inform them thhat there are laws against puppy mills as long as you research the Ohio reivised code though.... I have recenlty moved here to this part of Ohio and am trying to right now put in our building for our shepherds. We have to keep them in kennels butttt they are in 20/ 20's or 35/ 40's and I thought I was bad right now we do however let them out everyday and work with each of them.I guess I don't feel so bad now. But we are working hard to get our building up any way.....

My opinion is the same as most we really don't know the situation so we can't really judge this pic but I have seen alot worse.......

I got a call from a woman that said that her daughter was not taking care of her dog when we got there I knew somthing was wrong by just getting out of the car abd breathing . You could smekk it.. We went over and saw the dog and well it was gross... He had his collar stuck in his skin and if that wasn't bad enough someone had ripped it out...OOOUUUCCHH!  Now they put a new collar over that one.The smell(not to be to gross sorry) was magets in the wound.I thought I was going to throw up but I didn.t all I could think of was getting the dog medical attention and fast. I was so mad I could have really let her have it but I kept my cool so I could get him out of there. Now he is doing great with the peole he is with and never has to wear another collar.THAT IS WRONG!!! We had the woman charged and put in Jail.If more would do this here less would do it period...

Sorry for the long winded ness and if I misspelled anything I do hate Animal cruelty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
