Congress passes Bills that their Lobbyists TELL them to Pass. Thats the way our system works.

They are Prostitutes, nothing more.  If they dont do as told, by the Lobbyists, including AIPAC, the Israeli Lobby, & the other Bank Lobbies, of which 80 work for McCain campaign presently, their  careers are done.  THeir opponents are given massive war chests to run on,  to follow the 'party line'.   I can cite numberous examples.  Blaming the 'party'  is a Smokescreen & doesnt solve the problem, identify it, or in any way, do any good.

The Federal Reserve creates the money supply. They can print or contract the money at will & cause Busts & Booms,a s we see now.  We dont Own this nation, havent since 1913. They OWN us.

Ben Shalom Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, is the dedicated Zionist behind the $85 billion taxpayer-funded bailout of Maurice Greenberg's criminal enterprise, A.I.G.

My goodness....my goodness....

Hey...everyone forgot something even more global...Human's in general are destroying the planet.  Or...hell, who knows, maybe not....it could be just something that would have happend without us.

I just want to live as far away as possable from as many people as possibe, in the most peaceful way possible with my GUNS and my DOGS on my land.

Luckily for me, I know how to live off the land, by my own hands.  I have my priorities. Protect myself, protect my land, protect my dogs.

I joke all the time...but wouldn't hesitate if I had too....if it is going to be me or them....I choose me....or go down trying...

Yeah yeah..It's my Colonial blood....

Mickey D, you are hilarious

Quoting the "Village Voice" you said:

"Andrew Cuomo, the youngest Housing and Urban Development secretary in history, made a series of decisions between 1997 and 2001 that gave birth to the country's current crisis. He took actions that—in combination with many other factors—helped plunge Fannie and Freddie into the subprime markets without putting in place the means to monitor their increasingly risky investments. He turned the Federal Housing Administration mortgage program into a sweetheart lender with sky-high loan ceilings and no money down, and he legalized what a federal judge has branded "kickbacks" to brokers that have fueled the sale of overpriced and unsupportable loans. Three to four million families are now facing foreclosure, and Cuomo is one of the reasons why."

John McCain has called for the firing/resignation of Christopher Cox the current head of the Securities Exchange Commision. Who would McCain like to see head up the SEC in place of Cox?

"On "60 Minutes" Sunday evening, McCain, saying "this may sound a little unusual," said that he would like to replace Cox with Andrew Cuomo, the Democratic attorney general of New York who is the son of former governor Mario Cuomo. McCain explained that Cuomo has "respect" and "prestige" and could "lend some bipartisanship.

Conservatives have been warned. "

So, Mickey D,  the Republican nominee for President would like to see the SEC chaired by Andrew Cuomo who is charged with having been a major contributor to the current financial crisis. Do you see a disconnect?

The above is from George Will's article in the Washington Post which is well worth reading. Will is a very conservative columnist and he as well as several other conservative columnists have serious concerns about McCain's suitability to be president.

I meant to include this excerpt from the George Will column in my post:

"Conservatives who insist that electing McCain is crucial usually start, and increasingly end, by saying he would make excellent judicial selections. But the more one sees of his impulsive, intensely personal reactions to people and events, the less confidence one has that he would select judges by calm reflection and clear principles, having neither patience nor aptitude for either.

It is arguable that, because of his inexperience, Obama is not ready for the presidency. It is arguable that McCain, because of his boiling moralism and bottomless reservoir of certitudes, is not suited to the presidency. Unreadiness can be corrected, although perhaps at great cost, by experience. Can a dismaying temperament be fixed?"

McCain tries a second "Hail Mary pass" - after falling behind in the latest polls because he fumbled on the economy with his totally bizarre statement that "the fundamentals of the economy are sound" even as the experts were warning that we are faced with the greatest financial crisis since the Great Depression!

His first "hail Mary pass"  was selecting Palin as his running mate which got him a bounce that appears to have not lasted.

He called for the first debate to be postponed! I guess he has never heard of multi-tasking and assumes that only one thing will need his attention at a time if he is elected president. Obama has rejected any delay in the debate.

It does confirm what George Will said about McCain's "impulsive, intensely personal reactions to people and events".

Let us see what this does for him.

Yes, keepthefaith, you waited quite a while to answer this thread.  Boy, McCain just handed you a big ol' loogey to hurl my way.  Whatever.

You want my opinion?  I'm appalled that McCain is contemplating replacing Cox with Cuomo.  In addition, I'm not at all embarrassed to say that today, Obama, as much as I distrust him, has sounded almost presidential.  However, his past track record handling money is less than encouraging:

I agree with Newt Gingrich, this whole bailout is going to explode in all of our faces (at least in the US).
