Sita,

you need to learn what the hell you are talking about.

you wrote:
IPO and VVS both require a BH just as SchH therefor she already has a BH

you are wrong, you need to get a ZM or BH for the IPO titles.

If you want to buy a dog and be called a responible breeder, learn stuff needed to know.

Now you are probably wondering what a ZM is. It is egual to the BH and is approved by FCI. Go breed shepoodles because you are not helping out the breed at all.

To Kell Baker.

Not everybody is such a genius from the birth and knows averyting as you do. That is why people discuss things on this www. In order to learn. And help the breed. Also people make mistakes. That does not give you the right to put them down. If you know something helpful, then give advice without beating people down. What is a matter with you?! Be nice.
For the sake of the breed.

SitasMom,
You ask for opinions on this matter,so I will give you mine.If I were in your shoes,I would pay what the dog was worth to me,the value of the dog in my mind, what shes worth to me, dependent on how well I liked her all of her traits, conformation, working ability and my personal likes and dislikes about her.I would think a fair market price is what you are willing to pay for her based on these factors. As stated earlier, the sell of the pups should defray the cost of the bitch plus or minus a few dollars. It really is the pups you're buying the way I see it, someone above stated shes served her purpose in the breeding program and now needs to be rehomed, selling her bred to a good male insures a sale at a fair price as well as freeing up kennel space. As for breeding her in the future, If she is healthy I see nothing wrong with it.It seems this brought about a debate as to how often a bitch should be bred.I think that should be based on the health of the individual bitch, how much the litter pulled her down, how long it took her to recover, how difficult the birth was.I see no way a wild wolf and a domesticated dog can be compared as for as breeding is concerned. The human influence here makes this utterly impossible.                                                                                                   Michael

I did exactly as you suggested, I paid exactly what the dog is worth to me. Not knowing how many pups she will be having I didn't really consider that into the price. She may have 2 or she may have 11 who knows! To tell the truth, I'd rather she had 3 or 4 then 10 or 11. It would be less stress on everyone.

Thanks for all of your imput, its nice to learn from someone who has a few extra brain cells and is willing to teach. And thank you for your love of our country. You made a choice to come here, you truly understand what our country stands for. I wish some the liberals.......oh, guesss its not worth getting into.

Cage
You had insider informaiton - Hanny will be treated like a queen for the rest of her life.....you knew that from the beginning! Is kinda spoiled the fun, but that's OK.

Crys
Thanks!

My Husband works Hero, I work Sita. Working two dogs one experienced and one green doesn't seem like it would be to taxing...........I may be wrong, We'll see.

Those who gave advice based on fact, you were so very helpful thank you. The purely emotional opinions hold no value.

Oh, and Kell Baker -
Hanny has a BH, so I cannot redo that, I will work on SchH and WDA.......IMO, you can take your attitude and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. I'm all sick of it!

Everyone, I may or may not have some great puppies for sale, due date is mid October. - I'll keep ya posted!

Prager, A lot of people on this board has been very nice and has always been Sita that knocks them down. It is like the bully in school, they won't stop until they get a taste of it themselves. A lot of 2 faced people on here. Complain about one thing and then they turn around and do it themselves.

the first time we had a disagreement was when I posted something about YOUR president that you disagreed with. (OT- is obama crazy.....) Now you are after a complete character assassination.......So very typical of you cool-aid drinkers. Are these your marching orders, how much is ACORN paying you to do this?

Go back under your rock and leave me alone!

LADIES:

I wasnt going to chime in any more on this subject but...oh well.

Who cares about who said what to whom? let it go ladies.

This was a asking of opinions and for the most part thats what you got. And breeding and owning dogs IS emmontional if it,s not it,s like comparing making love in a hot shower to your wash rag!!!  you will get the job done but you miss alot in the translation...

Sitasmom:

Here is my opinion, if you want to learn really learn about working dog lines spend more then half less then you would of spent on a bred bitch and buy a good real working line pup from a reputible breeder, it was said earlier in the thread that you work with a great trainer so that should not be a problem, the wealth of knowledge you learn raising a working line pup from 8 weeks is  infathomable to what you will learn from a trained dog and you will also get the credit for being a H.O.T. handler not one of these owners that gets the dog from 1 year old (wink wink) that comes in to the country or to it,s new owner doing blind search,s tracking, hold and brks like a pro... The knowedge you will learn is 10 fold and it will make you a all around better handler and much more knowlegable on the subject of working dogs.

And you won,t be just building on some one elses hard work but you get the satisfaction of seeing your own work first hand.

The surest way to begin a program in any breed is to start with a brood bitch that meets ones goals.

Not sure where some of you are coming from, but if I wanted to get into breeding, this is exactly the correct way to begin.

Success can only be measured in time.
