I said I wouldn't say anything more and this will be my last post on this thread or any other relating to this mess.

Sue, thank you.

Don, for the record, I have several vets and I'm out in the backwoods myself. All my horses records are some chickenscratch stuff scribbled on whatever was handy including torn pieces of feed bags. It wouldn't take me 8 months to get a record from that office for anything. There is simply no excuse for it taking that long especially for such a serious issue.

Maggie,
I offered to help Vickie with rescue paperwork when the Alma mess started if she wanted it to help keep herself out of that kind of mess in the future. That offer still stands. She has not made any effort to take me up on it and that's her choice.

This is not the first time Vickie has had problems relating to dogs, rescues and problems with the law posted on this forum. I hope it will be the last. I have always liked Vickie and have had nothing but respect for her. She owes me nothing. I offered to contribute to Heidi's vet bills and did in fact send a check. That check was returned to me as undeliverable. My fault, I misaddressed the envelope.

I have not ever accused Vickie of wrongdoing, scamming or fraud or anything else. I have said she made mistakes with the rescue dog Alma. First being by accepting the dog in the first place. I urged her from the outset of that mess to call her lawyer and to defend herself. If Vickie has a defensible position, I will defend her just as I have in the past. As I see it, right now, she does not. That is my opinion. Unfortunately, Vickie's past problems are well remembered by some of the older members here and that history speaks volumes. Just be aware Maggie, some of us know more then you know. Nona was quite correct, too many dogs, too many problems all at once. Had the questions about Alma, Althos and Vinetta not been raised, no one would have questioned Heidi at all.

Columbo Maggie, no. I just have a long memory and I've seen BS before. I call it as I see it.

Vickie, I wish you well and I do hope you can get all of this cleared up. I honestly don't think all the crap getting slung your way is deserved. Sue is right, listen to her.

Mj,

Why are you do you condemn me and insinuate I am a liar and then say you honestly don't think all the crap getting slung my way is deserved...you slung A LOT of it here right on this very thread?

I trust it that you say you 'tried" to contribute and I appreciate your effort..... but aren't we in the same boat....can you prove that you "tried"?  I tried to help a dog who needed it.  With Heidi it is obvious that I was successful.  You asked me to prove the bill and I did but you still want to turn a blind eye and not believe the very pictures that I posted as proof.  I can explain a thing or two....ie. ink color, possible reason for the oily stains on the bill....etc. but you would just call it an excuse so I didn't bother to waste my time.

Gucci,

I was not aware you were blocked....I think I fixed that for you.  Would you like me to drive Athos up to you so you can look at him and verify that he is alive and well and you can see his tattoo in his ear and call Veronica or post it here that you, a 3rd party verified he is alive and well....I will even bring his prescriptions(which there is NO WAY WHAT SO EVER that can be faked!) for you to see.  I don't mind the drive, it can be theraputic!

Hmmmmmmmm....Below is my statement I made....NO where can it be found that I said  Vicki had, or has too many dogs.... That is not for me to decide for anyone...

"Probably the different situations with the different dogs, all got combined into one big issue...What a mess it has become..."

That could be a perfect example of how different people can perceive the same thing different ways and conclude  it to mean different things.....

OK Mobjack -- I understand that you have a long relationship with Vicki.   I am just surprised / disappointed that you didn't address all your questions to her in a PM, instead of embarrassing her on the Forum for ALL to see.    PM's would have been the nicer way to get the info that you wanted.

Uh...how much waiting do you have to do to give OSU permission to speak to me about Athos' records and ask for the forwarding telephone number of the diagnosing veterinarian?

I'll coach you:

Dialing OSU records department: "Hello, my name is Vickie Knighton Lanig. I had a dog treated with you in June 2010. His name was Athos, a nine year old German Shepherd Dog. Veronica Worthington, the former owner, wishes to make restitution, but she want's proof of his Grade 4 heart condition first. I give her permission to speak to the records department and for them to answer questions about the medical records. And please give her the forwarding phone number of the diagnosing veterinarian, and she may speak to any other OSU vets involved in the treatment of Athos."

And since you have them on the phone:

And would you also send, by certified mail, the copy of the records on your OSU vet clinic stationary to Veronica's address at **? Thank you, you've been most helpful."

Gosh Vickie, you did that so quickly, and you were so polite. How long did it take? Minutes?

My thoughts exactly Maggie....

I will have OSU or my attorney send the records to YOUR vet.  Where he/she can read them and explain to you in laymans terms that Athos is a very sick boy and why they missed such a significant heart murmur and a fluid wave as a result of congestive heart failure in his abdomen on his health certificate :)

Could I please have the phone numbers and permission first? I've waited 8 months for proof, with you putting me off or fighting with me every step of the way, especially on this database, when this could have been dealt with very civilly.  You told the world I had sent you a sick dog, without ever proving it to ME in the last eight months. How many people would have been okay with this?

Letting me have the permission and the phone numbers I requested, instead of this incredible run, around would have been very reasuring as I waited for the records from OSU. But that's not how you did it. All of this fighting on the Internet has to be much more difficult and time consuming than my simple, business-proper requests.
