DDR dogs, what is the difference between them and other shepherds - Page 8

I have been reading, looking even had to pull oput a dictionary as somebody used "big" words .I've had Czech, DDR West German, mix of some, mix of all mix of all sorts of bloodlines.
I stay with Czech and some DDR because I know them.. not better, not superior, nothing fenomenal. I just know them I know what to expect and I know what I am working with, cause I grew up there and I got to see a lot of these dogs, their handlers, struggles and succeses so I know what I am lookint at.e.
I do not care if somebody has DDR dog or mix of all sords of working line.
IMHO there is not such a thing as a superior bloodline. The bloodline helps, don't get me wrong but I am not gonna call czech dogs the best. There are som nervey dogs out of Czech breedings out there espetialy when people put together some interesting non proven dogs that IMO have no business to be bred.
I know a guy who can take any dog. DDR, BDR, Czech or a cross and if the dog has all it needs to do the work. he will train this dog and have fun. He will not even look at the pedigree, he lookes at the dog. Maybe people should look at the dog, not the bloodline (it helps with picking a pup, not training and bringig the dog to its fullest potential. I have a dog that should be in WUSV.. many, many people who competed in WUSV told me that.. gues what! it is my darn folt that he is not.  maybe the handlers need to look, get educated, do some extra work and stop constantly bashing bloodlines and look for excuses or make one dog better than the other. If the dog has it, recognize it, support it, train it and do your best to get it where the dog can excell.
I am not talking about geneticly messed up dogs. I am writing about solid lines with solid nerves and solid background where we can recognize some nice dogs and combinations   in their pedigree.

Sometimes it can be a curse.
Its easiest when your on the outside looking in, detached.

davidbills, it might be best if you brought up your own post if you want someone to help you with that dog's line's. All I can tell you is that Zeus's Grandfather is my female's father which I thought was quite interesting, so Zeus does have some dog's in his pedigree that are in my female's. Just a few.
