Thanks, Animules.  I think everyone does whether they admit it or not.

policemom,  I think it was kind of you to post the weblink so that those who care to pay respect to an "American Icon" can do so.

So sorry that the post has been sabbataged and made out to be something it was no intended to be,  Happens alot around here...  LOL I know.

Anyway point is,  that was a nice gesture from you.

Sueincc I'm shocked,  This is a fallen Hero who wore a badge,  are you bashing LE ??    It's retorical you don't have to answer but I could not help but grin,  forgive me.  No not meant as a slam to you,  Honestly am hoping you can grin from it.

Beleive it or not though you have received some of the SAME advice you dished out not so long ago,  If you don't want to hear about it, or discover it,  Don't read it and further don't post on it.  If it is really so revolting to you why would you care to keep it going ??

I do beleive Policemom's intentions were to just share some History...  That's not a bad thing.

So now this dog is a fallen hero?  Oh man are you crazy.  Either you are certifiable or just a flamer, either way I feel sorry for you.

paying $3500 for a dog is up to the individual's opinion of the dog. I have already paid alot more than that for non titled dogs. History about gsds is always fascinating to me. Thanks to policemom for bringing that up. I also like to read stories about WWII that included gsds.

Sue, either you don't pay alot of money for your own dogs because they are low quality or you're simply an ass.

People should be able to share interesting stories that they like. If you appreciate the post, let the author know it and share some info with them.

If other people don't like it, you have two choices.

1.) Ignore the posts, unless you are asked for a response.

2.) Start another post on why you don't like a certain thing.

People, I read these posts, like most people, for information on the breed and to relax. People that want to only bad mouth everyone else, are just trying to raise their own self esteem. There is no problem in arguing someone's post, if you have the proof to back you up, not to put them down.

Thanks,

John

You are as entitled to your opinion as I am -.  Sounds to me like you are one of the ones buying these GSD knock offs.  A fool & his money is easily parted.

by EchoMeadows on 24 June 2007 - 05:06

Sueincc,  Sure he was,  To many of the people who frequent this board,  They openly said they were inspired to GSD's by this one dog....  What else would you call him ??  I've heard more children say with delight "look a Rin Tin Tin dog"  They are excited and anxious to meet they're "Hero" dog.  If Rin Tin Tin puts our GSD's in a good light,  Then the better for it,  These days lord knows we can use all the help we can get.

I agree with patches... Value is truly in the eye of the beholder,  If people want to pay 200.00 for a gsd they will find a 200.00 gsd.  If they want to be 5,000.00 for one they will find one for 5,000.00  No One is going to change that.    I might not wish to purchase one of those dogs,  But that does not mean I am going to come here and trash them ??

Where's your website Sueincc,  Shall we all be the judges of your dogs/puppies worth ??  No of course we would NOT to assume such a postion would a**anine would it not ??

Sueincc I'm not trying to pick at you,  I am just thinking why not allow this to be a civil post ??

It certainly seemed intended that way by the original poster.  Yes ??

I'll be happy to go toe to toe with you ANY day.  I don't breed because I have more respect for GSD's than you will ever have.  I, unlike you am not a hypocrite.  I will not breed unless both dogs are titled and breed surveyed.  I will not breed unless the puppies will at the very least maintain the standard of the breed.  My concern is for the good of the breed, not my ego or my pocketbook.  Too bad you obviously don't feel the same.

It is not an original photo.  It is available on Ebay.  I just liked it and bought it a long time ago and hung it on my office wall.  The boy looks kinda like I did at that age and time.  AND he is with MY dog!!!!!          :-)
