Before you try to make this out to be Karyns fault WE ALL talked to her.  She IS a nice and honorable person who would never make up such a load of crap.

Now after several emails, "because I get 1-3 a week about you too Echo" I get what really happened.

People keep saying shut up and listen, it's the best way to learn but you keep chomping at the bit, before you think it through.

I don't think German Shepherd people should be coddled. I think we are only doing our breed a favour if we are honest and upfront. Personally I hate seeing things like "He was a very good dog" when asking about certain dogs...I want to know what made him so good, and what was so bad about him.

This breed deserves more than excuses.

As someone who is relatively still a newbie but who desires to learn as much as possible I have a question.

First, isn't it fairly common, especially for bitches, to go through a second fear stage somewhere between 6 months and 2 years of age?  I'm not sure if it is influenced by their cycle or if it is just part of growing pains.  I'm not defending this dog's behavior as I'm sure the club would know if this appears to just be a stage or not.  But I would personally like to know if others view this excuse as legit in some cases.
