DeesWolf and Nia, once again excellent posts.  It makes so much sense when a person thinks about what you said.

Sunsilver-  I really liked that poem about the man in the mirror.  Really good stuff; I never heard it before but it's something I now won't forget.  How true those words really are.  Makes you stop and ask yourself a few questions....thanks for sharing that I'm gonna pass it on to a friend of mine that will also enjoy it.

Considering all the crap and bitching and catfighting that goes on here, I'm not surprised many of you newbies who have such a wealth of expertise are not finding a welcome in an established club.  The best thing to do if you want to learn is to read and read and read and visit clubs quite a few times.  Put your egos and your inflated opinions in your pockets and your mouths shut and maybe someone who actually does something will help you one on one.  Trust me - many of you are notorious - and I know none of you would be welcome at our club as we like to work with people who we can trust.

There are numbers of well moderated GSD forums that one can participate on in lieu of the ol' pedigree database; www.germanshepherds.com, www.ddrlegends.com, www.germanshepherdsociety.com, www.leerburg.com (if you can stomach the "Frawley is God" mentality over there) just to name a few.

Personally, I participate here not only because amongst the trash there actually is good information to be had, but also for the entertainment value .  If I want a purely educational interaction without the risk of stepping in troll crap, I visit one of the more "mature" boards.
