Bob

For someone that has probably been on the wrong end of a joke or two, you sure are quick to belittle everyone here.  I would say, you are off  to a great start.  Welcome aboard!  We have been missing that one special element to make this board complete.  Now that we have our condescending, smartass with so much to offer, we are finally a whole.  You complete us!

In my opinion it's more about having respect for your body but at the same time, it's no one's business how someone decides to take care of themselves or how much they weigh.  How many thin, inshape looking people out there are heavy smokers or drinkers and if they had to quit, would almost immediately gain the pounds?  I do agree that in general, our american society is way too heavy.  Mostly due to the fast food that we eat along with NO aerobic exercise.  Who ever said that our grandparents were more active is 100% correct.  They walked everywhere, they did sports for activity, they swam, they carried buckets to do chores etc etc.  Now people's idea of exercise is 10 minutes on the treadmill then a 32oz coke immediately after.  Places like weight watchers or Jenny Craig prey on that type mentality.  Don't deny yourself anything, ever.  Eat it, drink it, worry about the weight later.  Obesity is an epidemic and it's costing all of us BILLIONS!  Obese people are almost always on some medication and the insurance pays for it.  I think what bothers me most is when I see obese people coming out of walmart with 5 cases of soda and Doritos and other junk food.  They  truly are addicts of a different kind.  JMO

Me, I'll stick to the 12 pack of light beer.  Maybe a few nachos.  Oh, and a cigarette inbetween.  When we're six feet under, I'm sure the worms will appreciate your dedication to health.

Mmmm I just had veggie lasagna and a piece of French bread, a little butter and garlic salt. Small glass of apple juice to top it off.

Now onto the boxes of candy I have on my counter. LOL

Sue I have a recipe for a Margarita pie, calls for actual tequila in it! Sounds good to me
