Anyone else besides me have a problem with a pedigree that looks like this?  Can you see where the pedigree is altered?  "Yaxi's sire" is over top of another dogs name or something and to the left "Suzi Lu-Ke" is also photo shopped in!  I think this looks really BAD!  Am I the only one?

Molly , I see your point but not everyone has the time or money to put in to thier dogs as you or some others. Does that make thier dogs less worthy? If I bought a dog and you bought a dog from the same litter and you titled your dog with ScHH1 and IPO 1  and I did  obedience and personal protection, with Narcotic work and with  therapy - Does that mean your dog is better then mine? and I should not breed mine even thou we have the same gene pool?

Yes, titles are nice but they are not the means to end all . And some people are not in to ScHH so what about other titles do they have the same weight? title vs title?  SV show ring vs AKC show ring?  or BH vs CDX, PD1 vs SchH1 are they the same or is it ScHH and no other way?

"titles are a good proof of breedworthiness"  What about all the TITLED dogs that are passing on HD, Cancer , skin issues, one nutters, bad temperaments and ect... are they really BREEDWORTHINESS? Litter and litter they are bred even thou puppy after puppy is coming up with GENETIC problems but breeders say " HE is SchH 3 titled"

Personally I would love to go to AZ and see her dogs but if I could not then I would like to see Film and lots of it.

I know this has been beat like a dead horse and some people are set in their ways that is not going to change. To each is thier own.

Vikie

I have a example for you:  I had a puppy I sent out for the pedigree . Well I sold the puppy and never gave the pedigree. Well it was not until 3 week ago I had another dog from the same litter 2.5 years later  gave back to me ( family problems). Well I have people ask me for a pedigree on him as I was tring to place him. But I did not want to buy a predgree so I used the puppy's and did the same thing as Melanie

I explained to the people (like I did here) and that was that. AKC papers showed having the same mother and father and I did have one person look it up on the AKC pedigree to make sure. No harm done but with out asking the person one will never know.

Have you asked Melanie? I think that is where I would start if you really are looking for a puppy.

EK,

Yes, Molly and I had a pretty heated exchange of emails and she took it down for a while......but the way it was done just looks hokey too me!  I don't know why with the free pedigree builder from SitStay.com she would not clean up her site and use that to display the pedigrees!  It would make her site look so much better and organized!  No issue would ever be made if she were to use the pedigree builder and take that photo shopped pedigree down once and for all.  It may not be anything dishonest at all but it sure comes across that she is trying to make that pedigree something else!  And, that pedigree right or not is a representation of her kennel!  Makes her look dishonest!  And I REALLY wanted a puppy from a particular breeding that she had made.  I passed because of the apperance of dishonesty!

Hey Vickie

Yes some sites can be confusing , I know first hand as I am a web site suffer LOL

I do know this and learned the hard way on pedigrees. Sit stay has mistakes  and so does the data base . It is very #@$% unnerving

when you are tring to buy a puppy and look up the pedigree only to find out the information is not correct or is missing hips score or some jackal has missed with it. Copies of hard  pedigree are harder to read but show the trueth in the pedigree (unless it is the wrong pedigree altogether). I have both posted on my site just to show correctness (learned that from Melanie)

I can not fight Melanie's battle for her that is her fight .

From what I know of her and heard of her she seems very honest and open AND willing to help.

EK,

In Sitstay.com's pedigree builder you enter the information YOURSELF!  Then they will send you the HTML to cut and paste to your website.  Here is a pedigree I have done:

(Type a Headline Here)

She could enter her own info!!!!!

True.

Question what is a blood tracking dog?  I saw it on the pedigree, by the way nice looking dog.

PowerHaus

Blood tracking dog means.....the owner of the bitch, a good friend of mine owns a deer farm/ranch.  She raises deer.  I think that all her stock are registered with the state that she lives in and she has to have special permits to keep them.  She can't just go taking deer out of the wild to add to her stock either, that is a huge NO NO!   Well, sometimes one might get out and usually gets injured in the process!  The dog is trained to follow the blood trail.  She is a super neat dog too!  Big like a Grizzly bear though!  The dog can be used to find a wounded deer in hunting season but I think that is against the law here!

See you learn something new everyday..

My father-n-law would love it if he had a dog like that.

That is why I am in love with thhis breed. Any and everything can be trained with a shepherd.

Thank you for sharing and I do hope you find a good puppy in your search.
