Ulli, happy your litter turned out so well and good luck with the next.  The male I liked so well was the one you advertised here for sale a while back. He looked very athletic and agile, that's the first thing I look for in a GSD. It sounds like you found him his forever home, all dogs should be so lucky as to have a breeder like you. The one I mentioned above wasn't so fortunate. That's life, isn't it?

Any US breeder who doesn't tattoo and micro-chip (perpaid option) their litters these days, with themself listed as irrevocable primary contact, shouldn't be breeding dogs in my book. I lose enough sleep from hot flashes at night (God bless the drug company that produces Premarin! ;) without having to worry that one of my precious darlings might be sitting on death's doorstep in some high-kill shelter somewhere because they can't find me to go spring them in time.

Grrrrrrrr

Shelly, this breeder knew that bitch was sitting in a huge GSD rescue not far from his/her kennel.  I believe she was tatooed, titled and V or maybe even Va rated in the US.  Not that the titles, etc mattered when it came to taking responsibility, he/she just  didn't care and I don't think this was the first time it happened. Sad, to think these dogs are only of value as long as they can generate income, isn't it?

Blitzen: please tell us who we are talking about.  Even if the thread gets killed, we will know.  I think this is pretty important.

You can e-mail me the name privately if you're gun shy about posting publicly. I'm not one to blast that sort of thing all over the net, but am always concerned in who's doing that kind of s#*t.

I'm going to pass on naming names privately or publicly. I don't have enough money to defend against against a defamation suit. It wouldn't be a big surprise to most anyway. I will tell you that the rescue that took in this sweetie was Camp Wolfgang in Texas - you do the math .
