        first you said he got the mercury at a garage sale.This story is going south.

     did i understand or misunderstand your earlier statement that the heater was on and the mercury got near the heater, causing the poisonous mercury fumes?

He got the mercury from the neighbor across the street that was having a garage sale. He had told me and the officers that the guy gave it to him. I talked with my exhusband, who still lives across the street from that location and he said that they told my son to leave it alone that he could not have it. It would not be to far fetched to think that my son isnt telling the whole truth and that he took it without permssion.. He said he got it 4-5 years ago. There is nothing going south, there is nothing but the truth told here. The person that lived across the street was a junk collector, he would buy garage content sales, storage building content auctions etc etc he would then go to trade days and sell stuff or have large garage sales in hi syard. My son was always overthere helping him set up garage sales or helping him unload the trailer he used to bring the stuff home in.

What reason would I have for lying? I have nothing to gain, I came here and posted initially to get advice about what to do with the dogs and have related incidences that have occured along the way, I have not asked for nor recieved anything other than advice. I did not expect anyone to offer anything other than advice. THere are kind hearted people that want to assist but if they do not that is ok, I do understand and this being the internet and the crap that flies here ( the internet) I dont blame anyone for being skeptical in the least.

Urry, When I got home from the ER than night, I turned the heater and the ceiling fan on in the livingroom and laid down on the couch. The heater is about 6 ft from the couch, it is a propane heater. The mercury had been drug thruout the livingroom, den and dining room and more than likely outside into the back yard and back in. That is the supposition from the EPA that it got drug outside because the contamination reading in the backyard are so high. It is very possible that the reading were high because 5 puppies played with a 6-8 lb bottle of mercury, chewing on it and rolling it around and on them.

Ya'll can believe or not, I have nothing to hide, I didnt come asking for help and do not epect any, I came asking for advice and related what was occuring along the way. If people doubt me or believe I am lying, I do not want your assistance, I am not a lier and do not want to be thought of as someone that has that low of morals to do such a thing.

I did not come here to seek help with anything other than advice on the dogs, as I did when Xena got into raisins. With the wealth of knowledge here, This is the first place I turn to when there is something wrong with one of the dogs that I cannot figure out. At the time, I had no one else to contact, I did not know that with Xena and Tino being chipped with Homeagain, It wouldnt cost me to talk to Animal Poison control, who I did call and will call again tomorrow to find out what they foundout about the dogs, so I can get them out of the yard. It all has to be cleared thru EPA.

Please, Do not send me anything, I appreciate the gesture but if it is going to cast an ill light on myself and my integrity it isnt worth it. I would rather struggle and remain of a good opinion to others.

in case there is any question, I plan on spay/neutering all of the pups that survive this ordeal and giving them to good homes, without papers and with full disclosure as to the incident they were involved in.
