ROFLMBO ok so I have normally been "lurking" on the board, I have far too much training to do and far too little time to waste sorting through all the nastiness here, BUT, how could anyone resist this thread? The breeders that are UNknowingly back yard breeders in my opinion are just as bad as those that purposely do it. This person is as defensive as they come and yet wants to complain that she is not getting papers on a dog she bought...and yet she turns around and produces puppies to sell to people with no papers? Hmmm...THAT sounds sane. And then she's stating she has no problem selling her puppies....there's a sucker born every second. The only people I've ever seen that would be willing to purchase a puppy from an unpapered breeding (even among the pet crowd OUTSIDE of the people wanting titled/health etc) were nothing more then a sucker. She's the kind of person I warn people AWAY from. LOL and THEN on top of it, WOW, the dog is level 1 (or was it 2?) protection dog trained? I almost lost my laptop as I spit up on it. Is someone willing to send me a certificate stating my dog passed their protection 3 level? Won't take much beyond a piece of paper ya know. I'd be willing to exchange the same piece of paper for their dog if I could just obtain one of these admirable "titles". Anybody take me up on it? Then I can have a sch3 IPO3 Protection level 3 (can we make it protection level 100 instead to sound more impressive?) dog. Well, I've gotta finish the sch titles on my current boys. But maybe I could use the protection level 100 on my old sch 3 dog. *rolling my eyes* And then there's me. I want to start a good breeding program. I still haven't even named my kennel yet (that thread was worked on but I still can't find THE name yet). I have a nice boy with a nice pedigree but only 1 descended testicle...ok so he's out (though his brothers were both bred before 2 :-( ) Another boy with a nice pedigree, good health and almost ready for his titles (we'll hopefully get our 1 next month) and MAYBE he'll be bred, hopefully with as much time as I've put into him. And then 2 females I co-own that have to reach the age of 2, get titles, and official OFA (one is already prelimmed but I of course want to do it RIGHT). I've been involved with the sport for over 7 years (and dog training for 22) and yet haven't had a litter. Why? haven't had the right combination to be able to comfortably say I'm breeding to better the breed. And yet I'm up against some "breeder" who is breeding untitled dogs with no papers and has the gall to complain about it? sheesh! sorry, I couldn't resist jumping in and doing a bit of a bash. And the thing is, I guess I have no problem with the people that breed untitled PET dogs if that's what they're going for...well, at least LESS of a problem with those people then I do have with someone who is acting like the dog should be bred with a title that means absolutely NOTHING more then the piece of paper the guy who sold her the dog said it is worth. On top of that purposely breeding a litter with no papers? If she had come on here complaining she had no papers and therefore had not been able to breed her dog I'd feel more sympathy. I've had a couple of dogs that I've put the time and effort into now that for one reason or another have not made it possible to start my breeding program. But that's the difference between a back yard breeder and someone who cares about the breed beyond the buck. Really couldn't resist. So sorry for those that wanted a serious thread finally. Maybe I"ll come up with a good question to get it back on track. Lynne

I wouldn't worry about this being a serious thread, that ship sailed many posts back.  Can you send me a few of those PP1 and 2 certifications too?

by zdog on 13 November 2007 - 14:11

shasta, wait till you hear that this PP1 and PP2???? dog has a bite history with children, gave a kid 25 stitches to the face right lilmeg?  anyway, it has no certifications, but the ones she "gave" him and is now used to find lost children and the elderly??  OK, like I said sell crazy somehwere else.

BTW, I'll save you the time in bumping this thread and do it myself, and again answer my question:

Yes or No, Have you used an 11 month old "stud" to breed one of your females too?

Wow!!  This is great!  I love these threads!

I live in the 613 area code and now I find not one, but two BYBs!  I just love being able to steer people away from such money hungry losers!!  Thank you so much (Heather, I think that's your name in Prescott??).  Please, if you have a website let me know because it's so much easier to just send out a link for potential puppy buyers that says "this is everything you DON'T want" instead of having to list your name, email and phone number....

I live very close to Prescott - I guess the BYB disease is right in my own backyard - too bad there isn't a vaccine for it.... Although I think I carry immunity from my parents because I see exactly what you are doing and although I can't see pictures of your dogs I can see the $$$$$ loud and clear!

Thanks again and please have all your friends post in these public forums so I can add to my list!

LOL LOL LOL Oh my! it just gets better and better wouldn't ya know? zdog, oh I'm SURE the dog biting the kid in the face must have been PROTECTING him. Ya know, maybe there was a bee close by and the dog was just trying to make the kid back up. Or maybe it was a kid the dog went and searched for and the kid was panicking and trying to ESCAPE? Man oh man. I feel sorry for the kid, and sorry for the dog with a clueless "handler". What makes it worse is that it's probably likely to happen again because she's obviously clueless about what denotes a real german shepherd. Then WE'LL all pay the price. Doesn't get better then that huh?

by zdog on 13 November 2007 - 15:11

I don't want this to get too bogged down so I'm going to bump it again with the question

Yes or No, did you use an 11 month old "stud" on one of your females???

Easy question easy answer, no drama, just yes or no

"By the way I have no trouble selling my puppies so if those CKC papers never come.....Oh well....he will still be used for what he was intended.  He is still an awesome dog!

It is just unfortunate that you all feel that screwing people is acceptable.  "

so....... breeding and selling puppies with no papers is not screwing people?  That is acceptable to you?

Ok that's the SECOND time in this thread I've nearly broken my laptop from spitting up on it. And I DONT have a hole in my lip:-) just browsed the site quickly. Apparently the stud is HOT PP2. I have absolutely NO problem with the dog...but if you want to go THAT route, then my little untitled, not even trained dog is HOT. Apparently all of this qualifies him to be their stud. She even DOES go into the fact on the website that the pups will be unpapered. At LEAST I can give her that, she's not selling unpapered dogs to the public and pretending like they can be. But, if it's as she said, that they don't care to "show" and therefore CKC papers are not important to them, then why go to the trouble of registering with the APR? And they do not OFA rate because there's no guidelines for them to rate hip xrays? But never fear, they DO xray their dogs. Yeah, a dog with a broken leg can be xrayed, does that mean the leg isn't broken...what the heck... And, at 32 months the dog is semi retired from work/training...in WHAT? what did he do to retire FROM? At LEAST there is a puppy application, how much they plays into the decision of who to sell a pup to who knows, but at least there IS one.
