No the bag does not catch fire at all.  Just don't turn on your broiler and you wont have any issues.  The lemon in the turkey adds a nice aroma to the meat.  I really like it and do this with Chicken all the time.

Note to self...never read a thread like this before having breakfast! Having some training friends over this Thanksgiving...first we work dogs then we eat!

I'll have 13 people including my next door neighbor whose husband is in ICU and probably not long for this world.  I'll have my in-laws, brother-in law and his girlfriend, my daughters and granddaughter, the neighbor, her daughter (in from Florida) and the neighbor asked if a friend of hers could come also.

I love to cook and I make two turkeys.  I stuff one with traditional bread stuffing and the second with cornbread stuffing.  I only use fresh herbs, rosemary and sage.  I also make a corn souffle that's light and fluffy.  My oldest daughter will bring the sweet potatoes, she's not a bad cook herself.  I cook one turkey very early and the one we have on the table goes into the roaster, that frees up the oven for all of the side dishes and also cooks it faster.  I make a killer chocolate-raspberry cheesecake, juicy warm apple pie and of course pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream is a must on Thanksgiving!

This will be the first family holiday with Drake and his counter high chin, I'm hoping he behaves himself or he'll have to be crated for the day.
