Done differently? Number one I would not of posted on this board regarding a business transaction between me and another party.

Number 2,  I would not of posted on my website with the buyers name and address if I remember correctly.

In his mind you sold him a sick puppy.  Within days if not hours of getting the dog he spent 50-75 percent of the purchase price at the vets.

sueincc   I'm NOT whining about it,  YOu all seem to think so but I'm NOT !!    and yes I did want to warn people about the stop payment thing,  I did NOT know it was a legal thing to do.....

the latest post was simply trying to figure out what the hell I did wrong in the situation....I felt that I had acted appropriately in every offer I had made to him.

Betty WHY NOT ???    what is the difference between posting the information I posted on my website and Ma & Pa's grocers posting "bad" checks on the wall of the store ????   No difference.  I understand how he feels,  But do you also conceide that I attempted SEVERAL times to remedy the situation appropriately ???

It is or should of been a private business transaction.

Again, regardless of intent you sold him a sick puppy.

The bottom line is that you and I feel differently about the situation and we could both type until our fingers are sore and I doubt if we would change the other person's mind.  I think it's a question of what each person feels  constitutes proper business behavior and ethics.

Do know that if I was the puppy buyer and I found that you had posted this information after selling me a sick puppy  I would be suing your pants off..

I'm NOT! I'm NOT, I'm NOT, I'm NOT!!!!!!!!! Sounds like whining to me.

Original post was enough of a reminder not to take checks for the handfull that are stupid enough to still do it. Money orders are not hard to get for a buyer. They can get them at their bank, Post Office or a major grocery store even. Try that next time.

4pack,  just so you know,  you can put a stop payment on a money order too....  not trying to be nasty with you seriously trying to give you a heads up,  if you think money orders are safe they are NOT....

Echo

I feel bad for you.  To make up for all the loses you have incurred over the past few months, I am going to let you invest in something that will make us all a bunch of money.  I know that you are entering the investment a bit late and the other 37 investors will be a bit upset, I think I can calm their concerns if you invest 10% more than the others.  Now I trust you very much.  I am going to accept a personal check because the amount of return is going to make you a very wealthy woman.

All you have to do is PM me for the P.O. Box address to send the check.  I am very excited and I hope you are too.  If you have any questions just add them to your PM.  I'm glad I could do you this favor!

Along those lines, there is nothing safe except cash, and even that should be checked at your bank.  Cashiers checks and money orders can be reproduced on any good quality copier.  That is where the common internet scams originate. Probably the safest thing might be to use paypal or wire transfer to ensure that you get the $$.  You will pay a small percentage but IMO the insurence would be worth it.

I only accept cash or a certiied bank check. Even with the bank check, I call the bank and verify funds and that it actually came from them. Then and only then does a dog/puppy leave.
