Cyber harassment - my view - Page 3

You are free to read any and all of my posts and I have been clear that I do not like to see a thread hijacked by stupidity, rudeness, foul langauge and off the topic posts. You read it and know how riduculous it is and by the way I did stand up and demand a stop to it which is what brought me into contact with you. However because I do not agree with your view of the world you feel free to toss casual asperations about - see the first paragraph above - certainly a modest but similar behavior to some of the trolls that you are so obsessed with.  We had 4 very good threads going this week. All have degenerated to nothingness - I find that tragic.

You also stated "I have never posted to bring balance to the site unless I felt it would help expose the hypocrisy of multiple spoofers."  MAYBE just maybe that's part of the problem. IF you had been posting on GSD topics and issues and not trying to be the ultimate web police we would not even be having this discussion.  So perhaps your statement- "However, don't be surprised when almost nothing valuable is ever posted about hard to get information on the GSD, its breeding, showing or training." can be attributed to your behavior as much as anyone elses.

Ah but to paraphrase an old saying = what is good for the gander is also good for the goose ( and a very silly goose it is too). So what say you shall we leave the trolls under the bridges and get back to GSDs? 

Ya, I have about a good 7 stalkers. They hate me, my dogs, my horses, my child .. everything about me. I think they single out people who use their real names on forums .. then play the game that never ends. I mess up bigtime though, because I only use two handles my real name and this one and always use the same email addy. I guess I could just change my name ..then their game would be over. I think once people realize what lengths these people go to insult or bash a real name, maybe then the tables will turn. But these people form clicks and have a few people backing what they send in emails and what they say on forums ... so what's a peep to do really but take it. If I had to rate myself on the internet as I see it .. I would be the worse person in the world who has nothing, knows nothing and is nothing.

Prestons post is about as true to the fact that you can get, and the reason he posted it , is to inform the majority of us that dont know how easy it is to trace your postings and your email..

In the last three months, there are three people which use four different web names and have continually really harassed several people on this board for two or three years...

Recently those harassments went to home phone calls , emails to family members and now are all of you ready for this one:      first of all  ,,,I am not sure the second person in this video , that I am going to mention knows she is in the video....so I can not reveal names or places      Oli is very aware of all of this,  and he knows who the three people are and he know right where they live and  because Federal Agencies are now involved......I mention all of this ,,,to prove that Preston is not taking up for Brittany or Funkman........He just happens to have been on this board a whole lot longer than a lot of us.......he knows who Funkman and Steve Leigh are and has nothing to do with the facts I am goint to tell you.....

You must take our post more seriously and quite baiting some of the foul mouthed posters and giving them a come back feed....

N0w ,back to the people that have been seriously harasseing on this site,,,Videos have been produced and posted on other sites using women on this sites , nude and using their voices  ,,,and have been posted for a long time and produced by this poster , to defame and humiliate several posters and longtime people who post here.....three posters names and voices were used..and this was found by an Attorney  and Oli......The videos were a surprise to the one person being harrassed and that person was very surprised about what an agency of the Law can come up with off the internet.....That being said,the other  person in those videos   and there were three , that I know about,..may not even know that they are   a victim....

SO , if some of you , think, these people behind some of these postings are all harmless.........take a dose of salts , a shot of whiskey, and clean out your icebox.........Preston is not a stalker, not a goof ball , and happens to be a very respectible poster, who use to post here when I first joined....I can remember how intelligent his and BOB_ 0, were and how important they were to the facts and harmony we had here,   then I saw the trumpet sound and in came the vile , and hateful posts...the rest is history.......    Oh on the new just now     Pit bull  on C R 212 , Smith County, , attacked a woman and her dog and she has lost two fingers.....just now while Im posting.....ooooohweeee.....  77% of all dogs that attack , are either known by the family or friend and happen on ones own property,,,,,, I guess  you can go to KEtk CHANNEL 56 NEWS, TYLER, TEX    TO READ ABOUT IT......

Truth is, most of this stuff would stop if those doing it were banned from the site, and I am not sure why Oli does not.  Maybe because of "hits" as when there is a ruckus going on, people post a lot and view a lot.  Or maybe he is just in a country and in an ethnic group that doesn't think this kid of stuff is any big deal.  I dunno.  They could of course get free email addresses and re-sign up when that happens, under a new name, but it would cut it down tremendously.

I know that it would stop 99% of the time, if everyone had to ID themselves to use this service, but many have stated objection to that suggestion.  Most of the objections center on the same type of reasons that some state for if people in certain jobs should have to take a polygraph once a year or just in the beginning of employment, and also for annual drug testing, if you have not got into trouble for drugs.

About fifty-fifty I think, the percentages of people that think that if you don't have anything to hide, what's the problem, versus the ones who think that it is too intrusive on their freedom and rights.

Oli has been asked by several posters to stop the ones doing it, hes knows who they are, he can tell you in a second who and what you post , he also has the legal means to ban anyone  ,,I dont know why he doesnt...He is working on a plan, from what I gather , but until the charges are filed and warrants issued and all investigations are over with,,,the game goes on....just dont let yourself get caught on the other end of the vile, harrassement.....to some people...they dont sluff it off like water and they are being hatefully chased off of this site at home and businesses in three states...from posters on this database....

Yellow- In what you described (which was the first time I heard it, but can believe it to be true in this crazy world) I'd say it goes beyond just name calling and trashing on this site.  That type of behavior is not only childish but out right dangerous coming from an adult who should know the difference between crossing the line.  When being expossed to someone like this it makes you see people in general from a different light, shameful as it is you tend to not trust ANYONE new coming into your circle.  That type of actions is not even funny at all.

On Leerburg's site you must register your first and last name as your username which I think is a good way to weed out the riff raff but I would not be comfortable giving a last name but mayber perhaps an initial.  I don't necessarily say I'd be for a moderated site as stringent as Leerburg's but I think once a thread goes beyond a little scuffle and turns really ugly or threatening then someone should be able to jump in and nix the attacker. 

If there are posters who are out there doing this sort of thing like calling people's homes, family members, posting nude shots and video then absolutely I'd hope to think authorities would take this more serious than someone just "picking" on you on a website.  That goes well beyond normal rationale.  Boarderline bypolar disorder if you'd ask me. lol  Who knows maybe we'll see some more changes in 2008 to the site and it will get cleaned up a bit just like they do to the ghetto's in the inner cities.

Nice post, Agar. As for myself I will no longer subscribe to this board if I have to publicly list my full name. I don't object to my personal information being recorded here in a secure place for access to the owner and the admin, but for everyone to see - I don't think so. I want to chose who I give that to.  A google search of a listed phone number will yield a map with directions to every home in the US with a street address. If one is determined and willing to spend money they can hire another to ferret out all sorts of personal information on every person here including their SS number. Identity theft is one of, if not the fastest growing crime in America.  I own a breed list and I know how difficult it is to moderate it and to know who you are accepting as a member. Yahoo alone provides  unlimited free mailboxes and it's quite possible that there are some on this board (and all i-net boards) that are here under multiple screen names.

I love the net, but it sure has changed the way we live. Nothing is private anymore and I'll be damned if I want someone who is clearly mentally disturbed having a map to my house.

Blitzen-  I would not feel comfortable posting my last name and I have even changed my email addy on here to my yahoo account that I use more for my leisure emails since my old one that I had listed is primarily what I use for my work.  I started getting flooded with emails and junk mail so I thought it was time to seperate the 2.  And yes identity theft is soaring.  I don't like the fact that you can get so much personal information on your neighbor either.  Believe me I can personally sympathize with that discomfort.  But what can you do to weed out the cookoos? lol  And the most difficult part is determining who they are.  What starts out as a petty argument seems to turn into crazy madness.  I guess the only plus side to this board when you mix in the crazies is we all have GSD's at home.

There definately are alot of disturbed people on the web, some on this board, that go beyond the forum. Hope the psychos get some help!!!

Walmart must be running out of the "ACT RIGHT" in isle 5.  Must be the holiday rush.  Hope they restock soon.
