One of the men on the other thread said to include 640 at the end.> for size reduction when you post using these html codes to post.....that brings it down size for those of us that have dial up and doesnt over size the space here....

Louise M. Penery, I don't understand what you meant by "if people are so lacking in self-esteem that they need to to draw attention to themselves by posting high resolution photos". I don't think I have a low self-esteem problem, well not anymore for that matters. I'm actually proud to post my high resolution photos and if someone doesn't like it, they have the decision NOT to view anymore of my photos. I do feel for those with dial ups, however I do not put the blame on myself when it comes to them trying to load my pictures. They have the decision to update their service plan. You get what you pay for :) I do resize my photos to message board friendly.

That was me, and it actually only changes the screen format, not the memory requirements.

Brittany : Dont have any other choice in the rural forest...they only have one company and I am not in a deregulated zone...We have no cable access and Satalite is over a !00.00 a month just for that one service..and in the zone Im in....not accessable...some of us are not fortunate to live where you have a choice....

Birdy, I haven't had dial-up in recent years. I've live here for over 14 years. No, Dixon is hardly quaint any more. At least, the damned race track was defeated on a special ballot. We have no buildings more than 2 stories high--and few of them. Shall I post a few high resolution photos of them so as not to be off-topic?? As for the "work-around" for posting photos, I figured that out a long time ago--but, damned if I was going to post "how-to" instructions. Perhaps Oli needs to introduce an "anti-spam" program for the message board!! LOL *********************************************************************************************** blueshep, BTW, now Dixon has a convenient Walmart Supercenter where I can purchase lovely RAW pork necks for the critters? Yummmm.....almost dinner time. Want me to post some photos of them munching their bones--in keeping with this thread?

[snort!] Very funny, Louise! Well, we did get into discussion about possibly having moderators on this board, but that went over like a lead balloon, as you might recall....

The thread is titled "How to post pictures" if your on dial up and it takes forever to upload the pictures common sense tells you this is not a thread I want to look at. Simple!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay Louise, I'm dating myself now...Is he packing house still there? We were Linden Farmers, mostly Alfalfa but I was 4-H leader for two different clubs and led most of the groups so Dixon was an old stomping ground mostly with kids of all ages in tow. Hwy 12 sucked! No need to post pics if it hasn't changed much in 35 years. I have the mental in my head. Birdy...

Birdy: "Is the packing house still there?" Superior Farms is still here. BTW, some folks buy their raw food there! I can post a photo if you like--LOL Well, off to feed pork necks....
