Shepherd Woman: "Louise, I don't understand why posting pictures upsets you so much,I guess your entitled to your opinion. Seems like ALLOT of things bother Ole Louise these days, LOL" ************************************************************************************************* You're damned right--but not everything--only fraudulent practices: lying, cheating, self-deception for one's own ego strokes--not for the betterment of the breed. Posting pictures of a trimmed LC and claiming he is "plush" is a deliberately deceptive means of enhancing one's self esteem--JMHO. IMO, trimming a longcoat is every bit as much cheating as the cosmetic fixing of tails/ears and the straightening of teeth with incorrect bites. I've worked at veterinary practices where many of the above procedures were performed. In the 1980's, there was a breeder/judge (AKC) who brought in 5 pups (nearly 6 months old) to have their very curly tails fixed. Lo and behold, a few months later, one of the dogs went Best Puppy at a GSDCA National Specialty and eventually became a breed champion, Select, and Register of Merit. Other dogs in the litter also became AKC breed champions. Yes, indeed, those things bother me and would bother my conscience if I did them. These practices are no different than cheating in a trial. Enron, anyone?

LOL, I have never said that Chaos is a plush coat, LOL. I have always stated that he is a long coat GSD! Don't know where you are getting your information from! Loosen up your panties and chill out, LOL

SW, regardless what you've said, you are still cheating by cosmetically changing the appearance of a GSD for show purposes. If you use him at stud, you will reflect your further disregard of the breed standard.

Forget it Louise. You are trying to expalin something to certain individuals who will never respect how hard you have worked for the breed let alone understand your passion. There will always be those for whom the description "kennel blind" reaches new heights. You cannot teach these types anything, as they are sure what they have is the answer to everyones dreams.

Louise M. Penery, Why are you starting up fights all of the sudden? If Shepherd Woman wants to shave down her dog, shes entitled to do it without getting harassed.. I don't think Shepherd woman has any intentions of showing or breeding her dog.. With all due respect Louise You want us to get angry at breeders who take their dogs into vet offices to have their puppies mutilated so they can look more like the standards, yet it's type of veterinary practice that takes the money from breeders and actually pursue the procures to help the breeder to cheat! If you were greedy enough and accepted money from the breeder/judge so you can help him/her win shows, you're no different then the average cheater! How can you sit here and harass Shepherd Woman for shaving her dog down when you took money from the Breeder/Judge to perform unnecessary surgeries to help them to cheat and to win? I don't believe for a sec that it bothers you because you help someone to cheat!!!!
