Still trying to figure out why some of you on this forum think that you have to be so dam rude to people. Guess we will never know why!

The other thing I have found out as I have aged and been around gunfire a lot is that your hearing goes and it is very hard to understand the accents. It has forced me to change good doctors because I just can't understand some of the heavy accents. And thats neither of our faults and I have lost at least one really good doctor because I have to be able to keep track of my back problems ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ouch. Now, THAT I can relate to! :-( (Pats her Hearing Ear GSD.) Do you have hearing aids, Gshprdsrul? They can be a great help, if you can afford them. My hearing is so bad, I can't afford NOT to have them!

You may think she will mop the floor with me but you don't know me very well

Gshprdsrul, ignore them all hun. Like I said they are busy bodies who THINK that they know it all. They don't know how to be nice to anyone and think that rudeness is the thing around here. You will find that out as you keep posting.

Gshprdsrul, she's talking about language here, not physical confrontation. I'm sure you'd wipe me out in short order in a physical showdown, with your police training, even with your bad back. And if I don't put the vino away, pretty soon I'll be losing out on the linguistic end of things, too!

by Gshprdsrul on 30 December 2007 - 22:12

stop it!! speak english for those of us stupid americans who dont know more than one language like the rest of the world... just stop it!! I understood ... Corona... there's got to be something wrong with that. as to the original poster..so... you found ONE ad that said free, must go by Jan. whatever, and you assume that everyone is in the same boat or feels te same way... or lacks any feeling about their dogs? You lost me on that, it simply is nonsensical.<<< That was the message I replied to being called a stupid American....von symphoni (sp) posted it And from there it went to hell in a handbag.

Not that bad yet...But my mom lost her hearing probably in her 50s. We never knew it though; she learned to read lips..Now she is gone so I can't even ask her when she started going deaf. Right now I'm 46 and have terrible ringing. The accents just kill me especially when they are really heavy. That and my brother the mumbler. He drives me crazy sometimes. I just want to take his phone away from him. I do pretty well in person the phone is getting me. Did you train your hearing dog? How long have you been deaf...I was looking to the future and thinking that may be a smart thing to do. Besides it is just good training for the dog anyway.
