Hey all you long coat lovers and UKC people, check this out! - Page 13

Here's a thought for SW and those who are promoting the longcoat - why don't you do some research on the German longhaired shepherd club and join up with them? That way you can show you dogs German style or at UKC shows, get them koered, and title them using similar rules to those of the SV.  I imagine someone here would know how to put you in touch with that organization. That would raise the bar for those with coats and would discourage them from breeding their dogs just to breed them.

The site is in German, so you'll need to find someone to translate it for you. If they don't accept foreign members, start  your own branch here in the US. You could probalby hold breed surveys and conformation events in conjunction with UKC shows, but you'd have to hire a German long coat specialist to do the judging and the koers. Walk the walk.

I was told that there is a strong chance the SV will allow LCs back in in 2009. Anyone have anyting on that?

A new site has all ready been started Blitzen!  I started it on Dec. 31st.  We now have 128 members and things are going awesome over there.  Unlike this site, I have moderators that are very capable of answering questions in all of the categories that we have on the site.  Strange to see a lot of the people from here have come over and things are very calm on the site and no problems what so ever!  We have had allot of great comments about the site and all of the kewl features that I have added to it since it started.  It's going to be a good year!

You know, perhaps it's just my mood tonight.  Steroids do have a rather negative effect and I've watched this since the get-go. I've been registered for a while, read a lot, noted who is in cahoots with whom, only recently started posting on a more regular basis, but what I see lately more and more just pisses me off.

Shepherd Woman has continually "bumped" this thread, one way or another, to help it along to promote her own board at someone else's expense. It's rude, yes, but it's obvious she has neither the class nor the ethics to realize that, especially when you consider what she promotes.

Now I'm guilty of it this time, too, in order to post this, but if we all keep responding to this ridiculous thread it keeps "bumping" it to the top - which is exactly what she wants.  QUIT!  Ignore the fucking thread!  I swear, if I see it up on top again I'm going to PUKE!

 This is one time where it should be taken literally - "If you don't feed it, it will go away".  I can't think of a more appropriate action, considering the OP.
