Zuchtwart,

I mentioend the "high horse" because you are the one who felt the need to snap at people for being off topic. Nothing more, nothing less! What is stoepping on corns? Did you mean toes? If you wish to be treated differently, then start changing your tone. I certainly did not like your tone, the way you had to go down on other posters for not contributing anything knowledgable.

Anyway, back to topic: Neither a Leistungsrichter nor a Zuchtrichter or Koermeister knows more about this topic. A Landesgruppe cannot vote on that topic either. I have tried to explain that. The region will discuss the possible agenda and their stand on it. They will also vote in their delegates. About reinstating the coats: I have heard Janury 01, 2009, now 2010 and some are more pessimistic and say never. When you go to Uwe's forum, there are threads on there about the agendas of the different LGs. Also, the delegates meeting is public knowledge and can be found in the SV's calendar of events. Nothing privileged, really.

The Problem with Blitzen is she reads between the lines of a Post, She Said Long Hairs

I said (Thicker) coat not growing long Hairs. Look Back

Then again she says i said Soft Coat not so here is the passage word for word i wrote

( As Regards Blitzens description of a Dog with a Long Coat Soft or otherwise not surviving outside in a German winter i do not know what he is talking about )

Thats the passage i wrote not twisted round the way you reply, But the thing that got to me was, I Live here, so i do know   But she chooses to take notice of one of her countrymen then believe what he tells her,

albeit he or she said the same as i did the Greman winters are not as bad as she thinks they are

That is why i thought to myself what an arrogant fellow he was As it turned out arrogant girl and it is just that

Another Says, its only the weather in Question, it is  Not,

It is a  a persons credabily that is at stake and in this case, 'Mine'

It looks like i am saying something which is a  pack of lies.

I do not lie, do  not have too,  I been around a bit and to me right is right and wrong is just that

My last on this subject

Steve, so far you have repeated everything I have said that you felt was wrong and everything you have said was right. What you haven't said is why do you think the SV DQ's long coats and why?  Do you own a GSD with a long coat? For how long? Does it have a soft or harsh coat? Does it have undercoat? Have you ever worked it in the snow? If so, does it develop ice balls on its feet and coat? Do you work it in the rain and in underbrush? Does it soak up water and collect burrs?

Blitzen, I think you are going round the bend, I told you about the Weather over here and in Germany  and its affects on long Coated Dogs, and it is the Opposite to what you think it is, that is the bone of contention regards these postings, You took the word of your countryman, but not mine that is why i said you are arrogant

Yes i do own a long coat and he has no undercoat, the weather does not bother him one bit and we have as i have said several times had Rainy Days at least for two  thirds of this winter

Not a great deal of Snow nor has most of Germany very little indeed

Ice, Yes We have very hard  air and ground Frosts,  and No' nothing has bothered My Dog or other Peoples Long Coats who have had them a lot longer than my one and i have said his age a few times now .

Look back on a Post of Capt Mike he put a Couple of Photos in the site for me, I will look them up and tell you where they are you can judge then for yourself, He is 9 months Old

Plus the fact we do not get Burrs over here , I think i know what you are talking about regards those but they are not common over here or In this part of the World

I'm not going around the bend, Steve. Thanks for responding. We have had different experiences with our long coats in bad weather. Mine did form ice balls on his feet and coat, collected burrs and dead grass and soaked up water like a sponge taking a very long time to dry. Not sure why the difference.

Me neither, Steve. It's disagreeing about dogs, not a matter of world peace or national security

He's a really beautiful pup, Steve. He reminds me a lot of my coat at the same age.  His name was Dylan. He too was very black and mahogany red with the best temperament of any dog I've ever owned. I miss him every day.
