Lmfao always gets personal

Is it any wonder I'm suspicious about the motives behind this?
Heather tells us " This book is to include the first 3 in each class with a photograph, 3 gen pedigree and show critique." and Lin tells me "Re this publication...What I can say is that the plan with regard the British Sieger was to have every dog entered photographed and in the publication with a 3 generation pedigree etc.. "
The easy answer seems to be no one takes a photo of my dog, and if that means I dont bother entering then thats what I'll do

I've been pointed toward this forum via a pro photography one I am a photographer by trade earning a modest living from it.
My fellow togs are amazed that a show society would secure the services of a non pro who admits to being on state benefits. Any work, paid or unpaid must be declared. What about insurance etc?
Why not charge for your "excellent work" & stop sponging off the rest of us?

photography is something several people do as a hobby because you are a professional photographer dose not give you the sole right to take photo's . just as professional footballers aren't the only ones allowed to play football. If you have a leaking tap do you always call a plumber?

If I pay someone on state benefit to fix my tap I dont think he's not fiddling!
If I pay someone for an advert and let them photograph my dog so they can use them in a book publication, I call that an income and would expect it was being declared. If the book doesnt make a profit, thats a chance the publisher takes. Just because they give any profit from it, or from any drawings, to charity doesnt make the income any less necessary to declare.
At least when I pay for an advert with the League/Breed Council or buy their year book I know the whole thing is legit and that no special treatment has been given to a private individual so that they can get the best shots for a business venture!.
No wonder GSD Club of Scotland wanted their regular guy!!.

I must ask - who exactly is the GSD club of Scotlands 'regular' guy? Having shown there for many years I'm unaware of such a 'guy'. Indeed... I have done photographs for the BC mag for past judges at this show, but didnt have to fight off any regular chap.
I cant help feeling you are trying to be rather personal and attacking Lin - while you seem a little ill informed about some things. Maybe she hasnt photographed your dog yet..... or maybe she did and you didnt like it - but I cant fathom any other reason for your rather relentless tirade and aspertions on her benefit status!!!
I hope people are disregarding much of what you say and/or imply now - as you seem to be intent on discrediting Lin herself, regardless of any other issue.
The book will be supported by those who WANT to support it - same as the BC Yearbook, it will be bought by those who WANT to buy it, and it will be systematically ignored by those vehemently against it.... like yourself I assume.
There have been other attempts at doing something 'different' in our breed - they generally meet with cynicism and crash and burn eventually.
While Im on the subject....... the BC yearbook was disappointingly slim last year - where was everyone? Can we not treat this as the valuable keepsake it is and support it a bit more enthusiastically?

Jo.
OK, I meant the organisers of the 2 days show, on this occasion the hosts are GSD Club of Scotland. I'm sure you knew what I meant.
I think everyone has been ill informed about exactly what you are asking them to support and why should all aspects of it not be explored?
From the start I have believed this venture would be another nail in the coffin for existing breed records . Nothing I have heard here since then has changed my mind so I'm out of here!.

Zac: do not support it then, very simple really, but leave Lin alone, and leave the BOOK project to those that do support it. Your agenda is showing!!!
