"Such inbreeding is needed only to establish a breed. As a breed the gsd is well established so using this practice suggests the breeder has very poor knowledge of alternative bloodlines, wants to make a fast buck by using own stud dog or hopes to promote own stud dog and only female available to do this with was sires own offspring." A Shepherd

Perhaps the stupidest post so far! I think he stated his reasons for the breeding (did you not read the full thread)? Anyone trying to make a buck wouldn't cull their bread and butter (what sense does that make)?

Anyone else find it funny Brady and Funk can respond so quickly to eachother and they both use full caps often? Funk don't be so self mportant to think you are a threat of any kind. I'm sure your dogs and you are not even a blip on the GSD radar. The only people who could feel threatened are breeders, by other breeders and Allabout, Sue and I are not breeders and don't depend on puppy sales for income.

"I was just told by a person who imported a male from Germany  a while ago and he told me that in Germany,,the Kormeister, upon viewing a litter for approval , tells the owner of that litter that only a certain number,,,,NUMBER ...of pups can be kept for a registration.....this is culling.....and what do they do with the rest of the litter that the Kormeister tells them must go..." Yellow Rose

A few solutions to this can be done Yellow, either extra pups are culled, just not registered or given to a foster dam to nurse.

4PACK

FIRSTLY, I ALREADY EXPLAINED THAT I TYPE IN CAPITALS BECAUSE IT IS EASIER FOR ME TO READ.

SECONDLY, DO YOU THINK THAT FUNKY AND I ARE THE SAME PEOPLE? MAYBE I OR FUNKY HAVE A SPLIT PERSONALITY?  WHY DO YOU SPEND SO MUCH TIME THINKING ABOUT US. ?  IT'S NOT VERY HEALTHY IS IT?

JUST TO PUT YOUR MIND AT REST, WE ARE NOT THE SAME PERSON, BUT WE.  DO KNOW EACH OTHER VERY WELL.

DOES THAT HELP IN ANY WAY?

by A Shepherd on 29 June 2008 - 19:06

4pack , I do read posts correctly do you? Three pups were kept, two were sold, the rest murdered because as so called breeder admitted , THEY WERE NOT SUITABLE FOR ORDINARY HOMES !!! What sort of knowledgable, respectable breeder produces pups NOT SUITABLE FOR ORDINARY HOMES???  Shepherds bred to the correct temperament according to Von Stephanitz ideal should be versatile and suitable for any home including ordinary ones!!!                         Five pups bred, two sold with no stud fee and the only surplus pups to feed etc were those sold prior to conception is exactly what making a fast buck is all about. i.e. No unnecessary money spent on running pups awaiting a suitable home which with ordinary homes ruled out could be quite some time. Sounds like a quick fix solution to low cost rearing to me 4pack but as you say I'm stupid just like my Funky friend, hey Munky got your title and proud of it. Stupid for not cost cutting by litter culling I might be, but  MURDERER I'm not.

I can find no where that the Captain said GSDs were to be "suitable for any home including ordinary ones".  This is a bastardization of him said to soothe the concious of those breeders who's goal is to sell a lot of dogs to anyone who thinks they want one, regardless of whether or not they are an appropriate guardian of the breed.  This is also the mantra repeated by  breeders  who have watered down the breed for the same reason.

LMAO

YOU DO TALK SUCH DRIVEL.  WHAT ARE YOUR BREEDING PRINCIPLES SUENIC. DO YOU BREED, OR DO YOU JUST LET OTHERS DO ALL THE HARD WORK.

THE GSD SHOULD BE VERSATILE-----ABLE TO DO OR BE USED FOR MANY DIFFERENT THINGS

WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME BREED HERE ARE WE NOT------German SHEPHERD Dog

NOT German SPORTS Dog or German HARD BITING Dog or German SOCIAL AGRESSION Dog ETC

BY SAYING SOME PUPPIES ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR ORDINARY HOMES, ARE YOU SAYING THAT YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY? NOTHING LIKE BLOWING YOUR OWN TRUMPET. LOL

WHY DONT YOU JUST GIVE IT A REST NOW.
