Received an email from another member of this site, that I do not know personally, but have conversed with on this open forum.  I agree with almost everything in said email and thought I would post it here, being that keeping a close eye on politics is a keen interest of mine.  I know this is a dog site, but heck, we talk about many things here, from boxing to sports cars.  This is the email.  I can only add to it a couple of thoughts.  One is that a President des not really run much.  Congress has the purse strings and the power to overturn any and all presidential decisions if they so desire.  Another is that the Democrats have had control of both the House and the Senate during the time most of this stuff that we all hate, has occurred.  Why did they not stop it?  Why do they keep voting to allow this and that, that they and we deplore?  Why is their approval rating actually a dozen points lower than the Presidents, whose is about as low as you can get?

"The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with
the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy
with the performance of the President. In essence, 2/3 of the citizenry just
ain't happy and want a change. So being the knuckle dragger I am, I
started thinking, 'What are we so unhappy about?''

A.. Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week?

B.. Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in
the summer and heating in the winter?

C.. Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?

D.. Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time
and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?

E.. Maybe it is the ability to drive our cars and trucks from the
Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present
identification papers as we move through each state?

F.. Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find

along the way that can provide temporary shelter for the night?

G.. I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine
from around the world is just not good enough either.

by Do right and fear no one on 03 July 2008 - 06:07

H.. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers
show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take
the injured to the hospital.

I.. Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who owns a home.

J.. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained
firefighters will appear in moments and use top-notch equipment to extinguish the flames,
thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.

K.. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs,
a burglar or prowler intrudes, then an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest
will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.

L.. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and
pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90% of teenagers own cell phones and computers.

M.. How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms
we all enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?

Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.

Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world
has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain
for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the
world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have, and what we
hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.

I know, I know. What about the President who took us into war and has
no plan to get us out? The President who has a measly 31 percent approval rating?
Is this the same President who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11? The
President who cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the
same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping
all the spoiled, ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks? The commander-in-
chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?

Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk shows? (Whose
talk show?) Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't
take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad? Think
about it... are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal
pain OR is it because the 'Media' told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful
behind every day. Make no mistake about it.

The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many
cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country.
They didn't have to go. They have the opportunity to refuse to go and end up with
either a 'general discharge', an 'other than honorable' discharge or, worst case
scenario, a 'dishonorable' discharge after a few days in the brig.

by Do right and fear no one on 03 July 2008 - 06:07

So then, why the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of
Americans?!

Say what you want, but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds it leads and
they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts.
How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this
and media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells, and when
criticized, try to defend their actions by 'justifying' them in one way or another .
Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book
about how he didn't kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way...
Insane!

Turn off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom
of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as country. There is
exponentially more good than bad. We are among the most blessed people
on earth and we should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful
and appreciative.

'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe
thunder-storms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the
threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out
of the Pledge of Allegiance?' "

Okay, that is the end of the email I received.  Can't wait to hear ya'll dig in with your tales of woe and disenfranchisement.  Vote for Obama PLEASE.  I want everyone to get what they DESERVE.  I will do just fine no matter who is President, in Congress or on the Supreme Court.  No matter how much they take out of my check for this and that.  No matter what stupid decisions they make or what idiotic ways they spend my money they take from me.  No matter if they want to build a 40 million dollar bridge to an island where 600 people live.  No matter who or what they want to let marry each other.  Vote for CHANGE.  Who couldn't use a little more change in their pocket?

Okay, I'm done.

Okay, DR, here is a quick summary answer.  You will not agree with any of it.  The folks in power (almost every one of them) have debased our currency or allowed the central bank to debase our currency, approx. 40% lost value in the last three years according to many economists.  Govt brings in narcotics to fuel their so called "war on drugs" to allow a big central police state build up and militarization of the police and build up of many private mercenary and intel agencies.  Now over 50% of all US intel inside and outside the US has been privatized.  Over 100 ex CIA operatives have come forward and disclosed all the CIA, DIA, DOD, NSA drug trafficking into the USA (and guns for drugs).  Even the CIA's own inspector general found this to be true at the CIA and resigned over it (iran-contra guns for drugs, ricky ross, op. amadeus, op. watchtower, op pegasus and many more.  I won't disclose any current such ops but I know of them.  Of course the whole mena ark intermountain aviation, adfa stuff is all very well documented with court doc, just as it was proven in court that the cia trafficked in drugs into rust alley at miami and homestead airport in the WPLG (abc) TV lawsuit in Miami, where the station televised a CIA agents with samples taken off the pan aviation planes.  The cia sued the station to get the story removed and lost in court when overwhelming evidence was admitted despite sporkin's objections. The mena ark proof is overwhelming (Bill Duncan, IRS agent's affivadit,  Russel Welch, Ark State Policeman's affidavit).  Do you want to talk with him or Brad Ayers (former cia, dea) or Celerino Castillo highly decorated DEA, or Michael Levine, highly decorated DEA,  or many more heros.  I could name over a hundred folks like Chip Tatum, many Colonels, Generals, retired law enforcement.  Air America, Laos, operation whitestar, need I go on.  It would fill ten thick books the documentation is so great, but the major mass media won't tell the truth because they are owned by 5 large int'l corporations with a lot of gov't, banking and defense business.  And you can always call Rodney Stich, former FAA investigator who is still under house arrest for writing his book, Defrauding America.  Or the books Crossing the Rubicon, Whiteout, The Big White Lie, Powder Burns, and many many more.  I'm not even going to discuss the spooky teams, especially spooky team 9, or task force 140, or 157, or mkultra, zrrifle.  And finally, only some folks know the truth that the 9-11 attack on the twin trade center towers was done by our own military in league with certain parts of the shadow gov't.  This was a precept used to justify the taking away of many of our civil rights and neutralizing the bill of rights and our Constitution via the obscene patriot act.  The whole war in Iraq was based on a lie and many of the troops signed up to be nat. guard weekend warriors, and yet are indentured to serve in repeated combat tours they can't get out of in an unpopular phony, undeclared war.  If it was a real war of defense and not preemptive aggression/attack, the draft should have been used and a real war declared like in WWII.

DR before you just go off at the hip and disagree I suggest that you read all the available affidavits and depos in the above related cases, and the books mentioned and talk to the individual witnesses and examin their credentials.

by Preston on 03 July 2008 - 08:07

Read the following article carefully, very carefully.  You will learn of about deep cover black ops, gladio style.  You can google "gladio terror ops" in Italy, or "Operation Northwoods" also.  Terrorism is invented, eported and paid for by deep cover ops, mostly out of London.  Or check into "Op 40".

Also, both candidates work and are mouthpieces for the elites that run the shadow gov't.  Neither one can do the job we need or expect, like our founding fathers did.  Remember the main reasons for the revolution in 1776 against king george was:  1) excessive taxation with no adequate representation, 2) confiscation of houses, money, horses without payment by the british military; 3) confiscation of the citizens guns in house to house searches.

The US Constitution and Bill of Rights were enacted by our founding fathers to protect us from the tyranny that most gov't develop over time.  If you read the many writings of the key founding fathers, Washington, Adams, Franklin, Jefferson, etc. you will get the picture very quickly.  They loved freedom and wanted any cetralized, federal gov't deeply brideled and limited.  They would never have approved of the fed gov't becoming incorporated in 1857 or its buying up of land from states for national parks or federal buildings.  Read the communist manifesto and you will understand where our gov't is heading fast.
