Im sure Ill be bashed by posting this, but since I have been using this site (awhile now),  I dont understand why American showline dogs are posting here. Most of the American showline dogs that I have dealt with have absolutely no working ability whatsoever and I personally find it offensive that they are showing up on here more and more. I would think for the free advertising. Sorry American showline people, dogs who have great reach but no working ability shouldnt be called a champion and imo shouldnt be able to post here.

LET ME JUST START BY SAYING WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE BHAUGH.  IT IS OT BECAUSE I'M BREEDING AM. SHOWLINES THAT I'M NO INTERESTED IN WORKING DOGS OR GERMAN SHOWLINES.

NOW.  WE GET BASHED ALL THE TIME ON THAT DATABASE SO ONE MORE IS NOTHING!

AND I TAUGHT I WOULD LEARN SOMETHING INTERESTING ON THIS SITE.  GUESS I WAS WRONG, EVERYBODY IS MORE INTERESTED IN TALKING ABOUT WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE IS DOING.

WHAT ABOUT MINDING YOUR OWN BUSINESS AND START TALKING ABOUT THINGS THAT MATTER TO THE BREED.  LIKE POOR TEMPERAMENT, ROACH BACK, BAD MOVEMENT, GENETIC, WORKING AND TRAINING ABILITY, NUTRITION AND HEALTH PROBLEMS??

AND IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY ABOUT THAT THAN JUST SHUT .P!

I'm happy to see all kinds of GSDs here.  Why?  Why not???  A German Shepherd is a German Shepherd.  We all have the right to like or dislike a specific type.  My preference is German dogs.  If I get an inquiry for an American line Shepherd I am happy to refer them to a long time, well respected breeder who lives within 40 minutes of myself.  Why try to talk someone out of their personal preferences?

Welcome to all responsible breeders wanting to post here.

I'd rather an American shepherd classified vs a puppy mill or BYB, and we have plenty of those here.

Bhaugh...over the years this site has morphed from a european fancier's website, with a useful message board on training and breeding, to a social gathering place of all types, correct and otherwise.  While it is still an invaluable source of information, now you have to wade through quite a bit of muck to find it sometimes. Hope that answers your question.

yellowrose- that's a very nice dog you posted.  I sure would like to see one like that in the AKC ring today.  They sure as hell aren't working dogs anymore.

honey, this is a GSD data base and American or not as long as it is a gsd it should be allowed.

i hate this huge divide we have created, it causes row after row ,god it was bad enough with the working v show-line but now it is getting ridiculous.

a gsd is a gsd after all is said and done
